The sixth-seeded Vikings (20-12) will face No. 3 seed Eastern Washington (18-13) in a Thursday quarterfinal. Portland State has won five of its last six games, and split the regular season series with the Eagles.
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Bryce Canda scored 24 points and Brandon Hollins scored 18 with 13 rebounds and Portland State beat North Dakota 97-90 in overtime on Saturday.
Canda's 3-pointer with 1:24 left in overtime gave Portland State (11-19, 6-12 Big Sky) the lead for good at 89-88. Canda followed with four straight free throws and Hollins threw down a dunk with 13 seconds left to seal it. North Dakota missed five of its last six shots in overtime.
Richardson has 27, Weber St tops Portland St 95-86 in OT
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Ryan Richardson scored eight of his 27 points in overtime and Weber State defeated Portland State 95-86 on Thursday night for its eighth straight win.
Richardson scored eight straight Wildcat points in the extra session, his jumper and 3-point play starting a 10-0 run for a 91-83 lead with 33 seconds left.
Weber State (18-7, 11-2 Big Sky Conference) closed regulation on a 6-0 run with Richardson's layup with 33.5 seconds remaining tying the game at 77.
Canda’s 3-pointer lifts Portland State past Montana State

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Jordan Tolbert scored a career-high 26 points and Sacramento State beat Portland State 71-61 on Saturday for its first Big Sky Conference win on the road.
Justin Strings and Joshua Patton each added 15 points and eight rebounds for the Hornets (6-15, 3-5), who snapped a 10-game losing skid away from home dating to last season.
Portland St. rallies to beat Idaho St. 87-83
POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) — Deontae North scored 24 points, Holland Woods added 13 and a go-ahead jumper, and Portland State rallied from 16 down to beat Idaho State 87-83 on Thursday night.
Ryan Edwards scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Deante Strickland scored 14 points for the Vikings (13-6, 3-3 Big Sky Conference), who outrebounded the Bengals 37-27 and scored 22 second-chance points off of 12 offensive rebounds.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Deontae North scored 22 points, Michael Mayhew hit 6 of 9 3-pointers for 18 points and Portland State handed Montana State its first league loss, 93-74, Thursday night.
Ryan Edwards, Bryce Canda and Deante Strickland all added 11 for the Vikings (12-5, 2-2 Big Sky Conference).
Mayhew had half of Portland State's eight 3s in the first half and the Vikings were 9 of 14 from close range, and opened a 44-32 lead. Montana State never got closer in the second half.
Strings lifts Sacramento State past Portland State 80-75
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Justin Strings scored a career-high 34 points and Sacramento State rallied in the second half Saturday night to overtake Portland State for an 80-75 win in a Big Sky Conference opener.
Strings hit 16 of 18 from the field, hauled in eight rebounds and had five assists. Jordan Tolbert added 19 points for Sacramento State, which hit 60 percent of its 53 shots from the field.
Portland State jumps on Cal early on way to 106-81 win

The 125 points are the most scored by Portland State since notching 133 against Rocky Mountain on Feb. 3, 1978. The Vikings (6-2) crossed the 100-point mark on Jamie Orme's putback with 8:55 left in the game.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Bryce Canda had a career-high 20 points to go with 10 rebounds, four assists and four steals on Saturday and Portland State beat UC Riverside 94-82.
The Vikings (3-0) took the lead for good during a 17-3 run that ended at 37-27 on Deontae North's 3-pointer with 4:09 left in the first half. The lead stayed around 10 for most of the second half until Chance Murray pulled the Highlanders (1-2) within 83-76 on a 3-point play with 3:11 to go.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Deontae North had 19 points to lead seven Portland State players in double figures and the Vikings cruised to a 111-60 win over Division III Willamette on Tuesday night.
Bryce Canda and Deante Strickland scored 15 points apiece; Brandon Hollins, Ryan Edwards and Brendan Rumel each added 13 for Portland State (2-0) and Holland Woods had 11. Hollins grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds while North and Woods set career bests with seven assists.
Portland St. uses late run to beat crosstown rival Portland
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Bryce Canda hit the go-ahead 3-pointer with 34.3 seconds left and Portland State ended the game with 12 straight points to beat crosstown rival Portland 80-75 in the season opener for both teams on Saturday night.

Portland State’s balances too much for Southern Utah
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — De'Sean Parsons had 16 points and nine rebounds to lead a balanced attack as Portland State beat Southern Utah 93-86 on Thursday night.
There were 12 lead changes but after the eighth tie — 84-84 with 2:03 to go — the Vikings closed it out with a 9-2 run, seven points coming from the foul line.

Hall hits game-winner in overtime win for Montana State
BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) — Tyler Hall hit a jumper in the paint with five seconds left to lift Montana State to a 92-90 overtime victory over Portland State on Thursday night.
After Brandon Hollins tied the game for the Vikings with 27 seconds remaining, Hall let the clock run down before driving then pulling up for the winning shot. De'Sean Parsons missed a 3-point attempt on the other end as time ran out.

The Vikings (7-4) reached 100 points with nearly 11 minutes left in the game and their final score is the most by a Portland State team in a generation (133 v. Rocky Mountain, 1978). The Vikings combined to make 21 3-pointers — out of 39 attempts from long range — which also set a school record.
Robinson’s late 3 helps Portland St. pull away from Portland

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (AP) — Damiyne Durham scored 28 points and Cal State Bakersfield beat Portland State 81-79 on Saturday night.
Durham was 9 of 16 from the field and made seven 3-pointers. Jaylin Airington had 19 points and Dedrick Basile added 14 for Cal State Bakersfield (7-4), which improved to 5-0 at home.

Tucker scores 24 point; Portland St. beats George Fox 113-81
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Braxton Tucker had 24 points and 10 rebounds as Portland State won its home opener with a 113-81 rout over Division III member George Fox on Thursday night.
The Vikings (1-2) bounced back from a 106-100 double-overtime loss at Cal State Fullerton on Sunday. Tucker, who missed last season with a knee injury, shot 8 of 10 from the floor and has been the leading scorer in the Vikings three games.

FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) — Tre' Coggins scored 31 points and made eight 3-pointers, including the go-ahead 3 in the second overtime, and Cal State Fullerton beat Portland State 106-100 on Sunday night.
Coggins' corner 3 made it 101-98 with 1:03 left in the game. Kyle Allman made four free throws to push the lead to seven with 14 seconds left and the Titans (2-0) held from there. Allman added a career-high 27 points and Jackson Rowe scored 18.
Arizona State beats Portland State 88-70 in opener
TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — Torian Graham entered the game and started hitting shots right away, pouring in 3-pointers, flying in for a dunk in transition.
Two years removed from his last game, it was like he never left.
Graham scored 18 of his 23 points in the first half and Tra Holder added 23 points, helping Arizona State open its second season under Bobby Hurley with an 88-70 win over Portland State Friday night.
