Wyoming Virtual Academy Offers Education Alternative to K-12 Students Statewide

February 28, 2019

LUSK, Wyo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb 28, 2019--Wyoming Virtual Academy (WYVA), an online public school program of Niobrara County School District #1, welcomes families to apply for enrollment for the 2019-2020 school year. A tuition-free, full time online public school, WYVA serves students in grades K through 12 with an alternative to traditional brick-and-mortar education.

Students at WYVA are offered a full course load in the core subjects of English/language arts, math, science, history, world languages, art and music. A variety of electives, honors and Advanced Placement® courses are available to high school students.

WYVA affords students the opportunity to plan ahead for college and the workforce. Eligible WYVA students in grades 11 and 12 can take advanced courses and receive up to 32 tuition-free credits to apply both to their high school diploma and a post-secondary degree. Career-focused students can choose from a range of profession-focused courses for a competitive edge in the workforce, discovering possible careers in information technology, government and public administration, marketing, finance, the arts and many others.

WYVA’s teachers facilitate live, interactive online classes, allowing students to enjoy a safe learning environment anywhere with an internet connection. Outside of scheduled classes, teachers are regularly in touch with families via phone and email in order to provide support and to challenge their students to reach their full potential.

Enrollment is now open for the 2019-2020 school year.
