ExxonMobil Debuts All-In-One Loyalty and Payment App, Exxon Mobil Rewards+™
SPRING, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov 5, 2019--
ExxonMobil announced today that its new all-in-one Exxon Mobil Rewards+™ app is available for use nationwide at over 11,500 Exxon and Mobil stations. The new app builds upon ExxonMobil’s history of technology and innovation, combining the security and ease of the Speedpass+™ mobile payment app with the benefits of the Exxon Mobil Rewards+™ loyalty program.
The Exxon Mobil Rewards+ app replaces the Exxon Mobil Speedpass+ app created in 2016 to provide consumers with a simple, safe and more secure way to pay at the pump. The app was designed and developed in partnership with IBM iX and is hosted in the IBM public cloud, delivering advanced security and data protection for each transaction. The new app offers the same great benefits as Speedpass+, while unlocking more savings and personalized offers. With the Exxon Mobil Rewards+ app, users can pay securely from inside their car, track and manage loyalty points and save on fuel and convenience store purchases.

Exxon Mobil Rewards+ users will enjoy everyday rewards of three cents per gallon in points. When visiting an Exxon or Mobil station from now until Feb. 2020, all users will earn 5 cents per gallon in points when paying with the Exxon Mobil Rewards+ app; Exxon Mobil Rewards+ Premium™ Status members will earn 10 cents per gallon in points on purchases of Synergy Supreme+™ premium fuel.
Consumers using the app will also receive bonus fuel savings with special in-app promotions, spanning national offers to local rewards tailored just for them. The new Exxon Mobil Rewards+ app integrates advanced technologies like IBM Watson Campaign Automation, which enables ExxonMobil to tailor promotions based on geo-location, giving users easy access to exclusive promotions.
Another exciting benefit of the Exxon Mobil Rewards+ app is the technology’s quick and secure mobile payment method. The app allows users to pay for fuel from the comfort of their vehicle, without swiping a card or interacting with the dispenser’s keypad. Payment information is kept secure and is never transmitted to the pump or the station. The Exxon Mobil Rewards+ app entirely bypasses card readers at the pump, removing the risk of card skimming for Exxon and Mobil consumers who use the app.
