Tachyum CEO Radoslav Danilak Provides Deep Insight into AI Market at V4 Conference on Artificial Intelligence

October 23, 2018 GMT

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct 23, 2018--Dr. Radoslav Danilak, Co-founder and CEO of Silicon Valley startup Tachyum Inc. recently spoke about the transforming landscape of intelligent data processing and artificial intelligence during a workshop session at the V4 Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Brussels. He shared his expertise about the complex issues facing organizations and governments deploying AI-controlled systems and the technological challenges that still need to be overcome in bringing AI to the mainstream.

The overall objective of the event was to provide a platform for a discussion of distinguished experts, professionals, researchers and practitioners from various areas of European economy and society, which have been directly confronted with the uptake and real application of artificial intelligence solutions. Danilak spoke during the “AI in the context of cyber warfare” session, which touched on topics of cybersecurity, threats and legal issues facing the rise of autonomous systems.

A frequent presenter at technology trade shows around the world, Danilak has more than 25 years of industry experience and over 100 patents designing state-of-the-art processing systems. Born and educated in Slovakia, Danilak also serves on the Slovak government’s Innovation Advisory Board. Tachyum is currently building strategic relationships with EU partners that will enable the EU to exploit the unprecedented capabilities of the company’s Prodigy Universal Processor Chip.

Prodigy is the smallest and fastest general purpose, 64-bit processor, requiring 10x less power and reducing server cost by 3x. New proprietary software has made many blocks of hardware found in a typical processor redundant. Prodigy’s shorter wires, due to a smaller core with less transistors, translates into much greater speed for the processor. The ultra-low power Prodigy processor, will allow system integrators to build a 32 Exaflops AI supercomputer, beginning in the last half of 2020 to enable users to simulate, in real-time, human brain-sized Neural Networks beginning sooner rather than the previously projected 2028 timeframe.

“Advances in AI are having a tremendous impact on technology markets around the world,” said Danilak. “Those impacts are being keenly felt in both regional and global industries as the world tries to get a better picture of what an AI-enabled world will look like. I am pleased to have had the opportunity to share my view of the future with attendees of the V4 Conference on Artificial Intelligence. I believe that my history of expertise in developing these technologies, married to a strong vision of where the market will and should evolve, made my presentation an enlightening one that will shape the future of the industry for years to come.”
