Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders To Perform At Hong Kong’s Annual Chinese New Year Night Parade

HONG KONG & LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan 23, 2019--The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) announced today that the cheerleading squad of the National Football League (NFL) Atlanta Falcons will travel to Hong Kong to perform for the first time ever in the . Organized by the HKTB and title-sponsored by Cathay Pacific Airways, the Cathay Pacific International Chinese New Year Night Parade will be held on the first day of Chinese New Year (February 5, 2019) in Tsim Sha Tsui, one of the most popular tourist districts in Hong Kong. The world’s largest Lunar New Year Parade ushers in the Year of the Pig with a spectacular line up of elite entertainment performers and world-record holders.

The Cathay Pacific International Chinese New Year Night Parade will start at 8 p.m. local time featuring the theme “Best Fortune. World Party”, showcasing nine floats, and a combined 25 international and local performance groups. Representing the United States, the Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders will energize locals and visitors with multiple performances and appearances throughout Hong Kong. Widely known for the spirit they bring to NFL game day, off the field the Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders are every bit as accomplished as attorneys, chemists, accountants, entrepreneurs, educators and community ambassadors. Logging more than 400 appearances each season, the Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders give back in powerful ways, and work especially close with causes that promote awareness for physical fitness, education, mentorship for girls and breast cancer research and awareness.

A festive atmosphere will be found at all corners of the city, featuring a public display of floats that will be held on the second day of Chinese New Year (February 6, 2019) in Tai Po Lam Tsuen. Various performing groups will also grace the venues of Tai Po Lam Tsuen and Temple Mall North in Wong Tai Sin with their entertaining shows on February 6 and 7.
