NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) — LaTerrance Reed had a season-high 27 points as Northwestern State defeated Stephen F. Austin 87-72 on Saturday.
Ishmael Lane had 18 points and 12 rebounds for Northwestern State (10-16, 5-8 Southland Conference), which broke its four-game home losing streak. C.J. Jones added 14 points and 10 assists. DeAndre Love had 10 points for the hosts.
New Orleans beats Northwestern State 81-73 in OT
NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) — Ezekiel Charles scored 10 of his career-high 31 points in overtime and New Orleans outscored Northwestern State 12-4 in the extra period for an 81-73 victory on Wednesday night.
New Orleans (13-9, 8-3 Southland Conference) has won four straight and eight of its last 10 games. Northwestern State (8-15, 3-7) has lost five of its last six.

NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) — Ishmael Lane and LaTerrance Reed each scored 15 points as Northwestern State jumped out to an early lead and thrashed Division III Centenary 102-62 in the season opener on Tuesday night.
John Norvel and Vonte Ott came off the bench to pitch in 14 points apiece with C.J. Jones adding 11 as all 10 players put points on the board for Northwestern State. Mike McConathy started his 20th season as Northwestern State's coach with a win.

C.J. Jones made a layup, a pair of free throws and a 3-pointer in a minute-and-a-half to reduce Northwestern State's deficit to 56-53 with 6:27 to play, but the Demons missed 8 of 9 after with their only field goal coming on a dunk from Ishmael Lane.

ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) — Darian Dixon and Jalan West scored 14 points apiece and Northwestern State used a balanced attack to defeat D-III Louisiana College 88-58 on Saturday.
Larry Owens and Ishmael Lane added 13 points apiece for the Demons (3-5) with Lane grabbing 10 rebounds. West, who hit four 3-pointers, had nine assists.
Taylan Grogan had 15 points for the Wildcats, who used the game as an exhibition.
Jones has 19, Arkansas dominates at home over Colorado State
