Ross scores 20, Lehigh beats Loyola (Md.) 80-74
BALTIMORE (AP) — Kahron Ross scored 20 points, Pat Andree added 15 with 10 rebounds, and Lehigh beat Loyola (Md.) 80-74 on Wednesday night to win its seventh straight and snap a three-game skid against the Greyhounds.
Marques Wilson also scored 15 points and Jordan Cohen and Kyle Leufroy added 10 apiece for the Mountain Hawks (15-13, 10-7), who hit 10 3s and scored 24 points off 13 turnovers.
Colgate beats Loyola (Md.) 68-47
BALTIMORE (AP) — Will Rayman scored 15 points to help Colgate beat Loyola (Md.) 68-47 on Sunday.
Colgate scored the first 12 points of the game and pushed it to 38-18 by halftime as Loyola only made 6 of 22 field goals. Rayman gave Colgate its largest lead at 27 points, 57-30, by splitting a double team for a layup with 8:04 remaining. Rayman's basket came during a 19-6 run in which Loyola only made one field goal during the seven-plus minute stretch.
Loyola-Maryland holds off American 72-69
BALTIMORE (AP) — Isaiah Hart and Brent Holcombe scored 17 points each and Loyola-Maryland defeated American 72-69 on Wednesday night.
American (5-19, 2-11 Patriot) trailed by nine with two minutes left but used an 8-0 surge, including 3-pointers from Stacy Beckton and Cheikh Diallo, to get within 70-69 but Cam Gregory's bucket for the Greyhounds (8-16, 6-7) with 23 seconds left provided the final points.
Walker’s career day leads Loyola by Lafayette 83-77
BALTIMORE (AP) — Andre Walker scored a career-high 43 points to help Loyola (Maryland) beat Lafayette 83-77 on Sunday.
Walker was 16-of-26 shooting with six 3-pointers to top his previous high of 35 set against Boston University last season. He was one point shy of tying the program's single-game record by Jim Lacy (1948) and Joel Hittleman ('54). Walker also had six rebounds and four steals.
American U. gets first Patriot win, tops Loyola (Md) 76-65
WASHINGTON (AP) — Sam Iorio and Sa'eed Nelson each scored 20 points and American University broke into the win column in Patriot League play by beating Loyola of Maryland, 76-65 on Thursday night.
The win snapped a six-game losing streak.
After going scoreless over the final six minutes of a 58-54 loss to Army, the Eagles scored eight points, hitting 6 of 6 from the free throw line, in the final 1:15 to ice the win.
Holy Cross snaps 5-game skid, beats Loyola (Md) 63-57
WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) — Austin Butler scored all of his 12 points in a second-half run by Holy Cross and Jacob Grandison finished with 10 points, on 4-of-6 shooting, to help the Crusaders beat Loyola (Md.) 63-57 on Monday night and snap a five-game skid.
Karl Charles scored 11 points and Patrick Benzan had seven points and nine rebounds for Holy Cross (4-11, 1-3 Patriot League).
Champion helps Loyola to 2nd win, tops Drexel, 66-62
BALTIMORE (AP) — Chuck Champion scored 21 points and Cam Gregory grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds as Loyola of Maryland came back from a 12-day break for final exams to tame Drexel, 66-62 on Thursday night.
The game marked the 10th meeting between the schools and first since 2010, and the win snapped a three-game losing streak to the Dragons and ended the Greyhounds five-game losing string.
Towson beats Loyola (Md.) 95-72
BALTIMORE (AP) — Brian Starr scored 21, making all seven of his attempts from the field including three 3-pointers, and Towson beat Loyola of Maryland 95-72 on Friday night.
Zane Martin added 19 points on 8-of-13 shooting and the Tigers (2-1) shot 61.8 percent (34 of 55).
Cam Gregory had 17 points for the Greyhounds (0-3), who never led after the opening minutes. Towson had its largest lead at 63-30 with 14:57 left.
