Johnson scored a game-high 22 points, including eight straight to open the second half, as No. 9 North Carolina defeated Georgia Tech 77-54 Tuesday night.
North Carolina went on runs of 20-5 and 34-11 in the lopsided win.
Johnson and White, who scored 19 points, combined to make nine 3-pointers and the Tar Heels (16-4, 6-1 ACC) shot 13 for 27 from beyond the arc.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) — Cameron Johnson is grateful for something simple entering his final season at North Carolina: the ability to spread his feet in a wide defensive stance without the mix of pain and limited motion in his left hip.
It's been roughly six months since the 6-foot-8 graduate student had an arthroscopic procedure to correct issues that had plagued him back into his high school career. And that has Johnson feeling free to "just do more" in conditioning and preseason drills.
Rangers win in David Quinn’s preseason debut as coach
Neal Pionk scored 1:20 into overtime to lift the New York Rangers to a 4-3 victory over a New Jersey Devils split-squad, giving David Quinn a win in his preseason coaching debut Monday night.

UNC guard Cameron Johnson has arthroscopic hip procedure
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina says guard Cameron Johnson has had an arthroscopic procedure on his hip.
Team spokesman Steve Kirschner said Tuesday that Johnson had the procedure Monday in Minneapolis and is expected to make a full recovery for the upcoming season.
Johnson started 20 of 26 games for the Tar Heels, and averaged 12.4 points and 4.7 rebounds while making 47 3-pointers. He started his career at Pittsburgh before transferring to UNC before last season.

WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) — Grant Riller and Jarrell Brantley combined for 51 points on 19-of-25 shooting, including 7 of 9 from 3-point range, to help College of Charleston beat UNC Wilmington 88-74 on Saturday night for its 10th consecutive win.
Riller made 11 of 14 from the field and finished with 28 points and Brantley hit 4 of 4 on 3-pointers. Joe Chealey had 15 points and Cameron Johnson scored 10 for College of Charleston (22-6, 13-3 Colonial Athletic Association).
