The Department of Environmental Conservation says oak wilt has been found in the Ontario County town of South Bristol. It's the second location the disease has been found in Ontario County. There was a 2016 outbreak in Canandaigua, a few miles north of the new site.

Navy officials say Navy Lt. Christopher Carey Short of Canandaigua, New York was killed in Friday's crash over the Red Rio Bombing Range.
The range is part of White Sands Missile Range located about 65 miles north of Holloman.

Ohio college student from upstate NY killed in car crash
CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say an Ohio college student from western New York has died in a one-car crash on a Cleveland highway.
Cleveland police say 20-year-old Robert Park was driving on Memorial Shoreway early Tuesday morning when he crashed into a support pillar of a railroad bridge. Officials say he was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Case Western Reserve University says Park was a junior accounting major who was a member of the Theta Chi fraternity.
Woman’s body found near where SUV went into Erie Canal
WATERLOO, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say a woman's body was pulled from the Erie Canal near where a vehicle was removed from a central New York section of the waterway.
State police say their divers found the body late Wednesday afternoon in the general area where an SUV was removed from the canal Monday night in the Seneca County town of Waterloo, in the Finger Lakes region.
Troopers say they'll release the woman's name the body is positively identified.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says that while Cortney Vogt was working for SalesSource International in Rochester, she forged 132 checks over a two-year period. The checks were drawn on an account at Canandaigua National Bank.
Prosecutors say the charge carries a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison and a $1 million fine.
