PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Taylor Funk scored 22 points and Saint Joseph's closed fast to post an 85-73 win over Massachusetts in an Atlantic 10 showdown Saturday afternoon.
C.J. Anderson got the Minutemen even at 61-61 on a 3-pointer with 10:54 remaining, but Funk answered with a 3 and a layup to park a 24-12 finish by the Hawks.
Saint Joe's bounced back from a 91-62 loss to Davidson Tuesday night and earned a split in the season series with UMass, which won at Amherst, 72-69.
Hot-shooting carries Fordham past Massachusetts, 82-69
NEW YORK (AP) — Prokop Slanina scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as Fordham bounced back from a home-court loss to Rhode Island by knocking off Massachusetts for the fourth straight time, 82-69 in an Atlantic 10 Conference contest Saturday afternoon.
The Rams shot 56- percent from the field in the game, including 12 of 25 from distance, and five of their six players scored in double figures to complete their season sweep of the Minutemen.
Goodwin with 19, Saint Louis rolls to 66-47 win over UMass
AMHERST, Mass. (AP) — Jordan Goodwin scored 19 points with 10 rebounds and eight assists and Saint Louis rolled to 66-47 win over Massachusetts on Saturday.
Goodwin was 8 of 15 from the field including a pair of 3-pointers for the Billikens (10-10, 3-4 Atlantic 10). Hasahn French added 12 points and 10 rebounds, Davell Roby had 10 points and Javon Bess had nine points and seven rebounds.

KINGSTON, R.I. (AP) — Jared Terrell scored 24 points with four 3-pointers and three steals, Stanford Robinson added 17 points with 12 rebounds, and Rhode Island beat Massachusetts 73-51 on Wednesday night to open the Atlantic 10 Conference season 6-0 for the first time in school history.
Andre Berry scored 11 points and Cyril Langevine had 12 boards and three blocks for Rhode Island (14-3, 6-0), which won its ninth straight game and 13th straight at home.

AMHERST, Mass. (AP) — Otis Livingston II scored 33 points and had nine assists — each a career high— as George Mason battled past Massachusetts 80-72 in overtime on Wednesday night.
Livingston missed a last-second shot that could've won the game for George Mason (7-8, 1-1 Atlantic 10) in regulation but Jaire Grayer blocked a desperation 3-point heave by Massachusetts' Luwane Pipkins as time ran out. Grayer scored 20 points and blocked three shots, two in the last 1:10 of regulation.

AMHERST, Mass. (AP) — Carl Pierre scored a career-high 25 points on 7-of-9 shooting from 3-point range and C.J. Anderson had a career-high 12 assists and UMass got off to a big start en route to a 74-63 win over Maine on Friday.
Luwane Pipkins added 16 points and Malik Hines and Rashaan Holloway had 10 apiece for the Minutemen (7-6).
Simonds leads Georgia State over UMass 71-63
AMHERST, Mass. (AP) — D'Marcus Simonds scored 24 points and grabbed nine rebounds and Georgia State beat UMass 71-63 on Wednesday night.
Simonds — who has averaged 20.9 points a game this season — was 9 of 18 from the field including three 3-pointers. Devin Mitchell added 14 points for the Panthers (8-4). Malik Benlevi had 13 points, six rebounds and four assists and Jeff Thomas chipped in 12 points.
UMass makes 12 3-pointers, upsets Georgia 72-62
AMHERST, Mass. (AP) — Luwane Pipkins scored 10 of his 17 points in the opening five minutes, freshman Carl Pierre had 15 points on career-best five 3-pointers and Massachusetts cruised by Georgia 72-62 on Saturday.
It was the 10th win for UMass over an SEC opponent and the first since a 92-90 victory against LSU at home on Nov. 12, 2013.
Silva gets hot late, South Carolina beats UMass 76-70
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Freshman Justin Minaya scored 17 points, Chris Silva had 12 of his 14 points in the second half and South Carolina defeated UMass 76-70 on Saturday.
Silva, coming off a two-point performance in a Thursday loss to Temple at Madison Square Garden, was in foul trouble for most of the game. He and Maik Kotsar entered the game with 5:40 remaining with four fouls apiece and Silva delivered back-to-back dunks in 34 seconds to put USC up by six.
Pipkins 21 points leads UMass past Western Carolina, 85-76
AMHERST, Mass. (AP) — Luwane Pipkins posted his third consecutive game with 20 or more points, scoring 21 points and dishing a career-high 10 assists to lead Massachusetts to an 85-76 win over Western Carolina Tuesday night.
A game after knocking down seven 3-pointers in a win over Niagara, Pipkins drilled five treys against the Catamounts. Pipkins shared Atlantic 10 Player of the Week honors after scoring 34 points against Niagara and 23 in a loss to Harvard last week.
UMass makes 15 3-pointers in 101-76 win over Niagara
AMHERST, Mass. (AP) — Luwane Pipkins made seven 3-pointers and scored a career-high 34 points to help UMass beat Niagara 101-76 on Sunday.
Carl Pierre added four 3s and Rayshawn Miller made three more as the Minutemen (2-1) were 15 of 26 from distance. The school record is 16, last coming in 2015 against Clemson.
