Bulls’ Hutchison sidelined because of right foot injury
CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago Bulls say rookie forward Chandler Hutchison will miss at least a few weeks because of a right foot injury.
The Bulls announced Saturday the first-round pick has "an acute injury to a sesamoid bone in his right foot." He will spend two to four weeks in a walking boot and will be re-examined after the All-Star break.
Grizzlies acquire Justin Holiday from Bulls
CHICAGO (AP) — The struggling Memphis Grizzlies have acquired guard Justin Holiday from the Chicago Bulls for guards MarShon Brooks and Wayne Selden Jr.
Memphis also sent second-round picks in 2019 and 2020 to Chicago in the deal Thursday. The Bulls waived guard Cameron Payne in another move.

CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago Bulls like to think they are one of the NBA's up-and-coming teams, one that could challenge for a playoff berth next season.

CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago Bulls gave Lauri Markkanen a frontcourt running mate by drafting Duke's Wendell Carter Jr. Then they added help on the wing.
More than anything, the Bulls insisted, they continued to position themselves to move up in the Eastern Conference.
The Bulls went big with their first pick Thursday night, drafting Carter Jr. from Duke seventh overall and giving them another versatile frontcourt player to go with Markkanen. They took Boise State's Chandler Hutchison at No. 22.
SEATTLE (AP) — Jaylen Nowell scored 25 points, Matisse Thybulle added 18 — each scoring 14 in the second half — and Washington held off Boise State 77-74 on Wednesday night in the first round of the NIT.
The Huskies (21-12) will play Saint Mary's (29-5) in the second round.
Thybulle, a junior who is already Washington's career steals leader, moved into third — behind Jason Kidd and Gary Payton — on the Pac-12's single-season list with 97.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Sam Merrill scored 28 points, shooting 7 of 10 from 3-point range, and seventh-seeded Utah State came back to beat No. 2 seed Boise State 78-75 in a Mountain West Basketball Conference Tournament quarterfinal on Thursday night.
The Aggies (17-16) advance to a Friday semifinal game.
Koby McEwen tied it at 73 with 1:41 left and Dwayne Brown Jr.'s free throw almost a minute later gave Utah State the lead for good. Chandler Hutchison missed a 3-point attempt at the buzzer.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Nevada junior forward Caleb Martin was named the Mountain West's player and newcomer of the year after a season in which the Wolf Pack captured the regular season conference title.
Martin averaged 19.5 point this season. His twin brother, Cody Martin, was the defensive player of the year in a vote by the league's coaches.
Nevada's Eric Musselman earned the coach of the year honors. It's the first time in conference history a team has swept those four categories.

Justinian Jessup added 16 points with four 3-pointers, Zach Haney had 13 points, and Christian Sengfelder grabbed 11 rebounds for the Broncos (22-6, 12-4).
Boise State runs past Air Force 76-52

LOGAN, Utah (AP) — Koby McEwen scored 23 points to lead Utah State to a 71-65 victory over Boise State on Saturday night.
Utah State (14-12, 7-6 Mountain West Conference) has won four of its last five games. Boise State (20-5, 10-3) had a five-game win streak snapped, and is now a half-game back of conference leader Nevada (10-2), which beat San Diego State by 25 points Saturday night. The Broncos host No. 23 Nevada on Wednesday.
Boise State rallies by New Mexico; ends in shoving match
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Chandler Hutchison made a layup with 16 seconds remaining to put Boise State up for the first time in the second half and the Broncos beat New Mexico 73-71 on Tuesday night.
Hutchison finished with 23 points, including 15 in the second half, as Boise State (20-4, 10-2 Mountain West) came back from a 13-point deficit. Chris Sengfelder led the Broncos with 24 points.
Oakland's Kendrick Nunn has been named one of 10 candidates for the Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year Award, the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame announced Tuesday.
Nunn, a redshirt senior from Chicago, leads the NCAA in 3-pointers per game (4.64). He also ranks second nationally in scoring (26.0) and total 3-pointers made (102).

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Chandler Hutchison scored 21 points, Justinian Jessup added 18 more and Boise State held on in overtime Saturday night for a 93-91 win over UNLV.
Boise State (19-4, 9-2 Mountain West Conference) held UNLV scoreless for nearly three minutes in overtime, jumping out to an 88-82 lead behind Christian Sengfelder's layup and 2-for-2 shooting from the line by Marcus Dickinson and Hutchison, but had to scramble down the stretch as the Rebels closed in over the final two minutes.

Boise State holds off Utah State 71-67 behind Hutchison
BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Chandler Hutchison scored 16 points and the go-ahead layup with 1:21 to play, and Boise State beat Utah State 71-67 on Wednesday night to win its third straight.
The Aggies led 43-40 after 11-0 run capped by Quinn Taylor's layup and pulled ahead by as many as nine points. But, after three lead changes and three ties, Chandler hit his go-ahead layup for a 67-65 lead.
Hutchison’s 44 lifts Boise State past San Diego State 83-80
BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Chandler Hutchison sank seven 3-pointers and scored a program-record 44 points to lift Boise State to an 83-80 win over San Diego State on Saturday night.
Trailing by a point with under three minutes to play, Boise State (15-3, 5-1 Mountain West) got a 3-pointer from Justinian Jessup to edge back on top 77-75 before San Diego State tied it up again with a Matt Mitchell layup.
Hutchison scores 21, Boise State beats Fresno State 70-64
FRESNO, Calif. (AP) — Chandler Hutchison had 21 points, 10 rebounds and four assists for his eighth double-double of the season, Alex Hobbs scored 15 of his 20 points in the first half and Boise State beat Fresno State 70-64 on Tuesday night.
Hutchison missed two free throws with 1:35 left, but Christian Sengfelder grabbed the miss and put it back for a 64-58 lead. After a Fresno State 3, Hutchison had another offensive board and hit two free throws for a five-point advantage.
Dalton, Wyoming rally from down 16, beat Boise St. in OT
LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — Hayden Dalton had 29 points and 12 rebounds and Justin James scored 13 of his 15 points in the second half to help Wyoming overcome a 16-point halftime deficit for a 79-78 overtime win over Boise State on Saturday night.
Cody Kelley scored four of his nine points in the final 66 seconds and added five rebounds and four assists for the Cowboys. James, who has 1,002 career points, became the 36th Wyoming (11-5, 2-1 Mountain West) player to score 1,000 points.
Mountain West suspends New Mexico guard Troy Simons
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — New Mexico guard Troy Simons was suspended for one game by the Mountain West Conference for an accumulation of violations.
Simons, a junior, has been ejected twice this season. He received two technical fouls in New Mexico's game against rival New Mexico State on Nov. 17 and again in Wednesday's loss to Boise State.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Chandler Hutchison scored 24 points and Boise State never trailed in beating Colorado State 93-71 in the Mountain West Conference opener Wednesday night to notch the Broncos' eighth straight win at home.

SMU ends Boise State streak with 86-63 win
DALLAS (AP) — Jimmy Whitt, Jahmal McMurray and Ethan Chargois scored 16 points apiece and SMU beat Boise State 86-63 on Monday night, ending the Broncos' six-game win streak.
Ben Emelogu II added 12 points and Shake Milton scored 11 with seven rebounds and seven assists for SMU. The Mustangs (9-3) are 8-0 at home and have won 30 straight at Moody Coliseum, the second-longest active streak nationally.
