JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — Jontrell Walker scored 19 points and Jackson State beat Arkansas-Pine Bluff 65-52 on Monday night.
Jackson State (9-13, 6-3 Southwestern Athletic Conference), which leads the league allowing just 60.6 points per game, held UAPB to 40-percent shooting and forced 17 turnovers.
PINE BLUFF, Ark. (AP) — Martaveous McKnight drained six treys to total 30 points to help Arkansas-Pine Bluff hold off Texas Southern 90-86 on Saturday night.

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Linebacker Greg Simmons left Nebraska's football practice on a stretcher after injuring his neck in a collision.
Simmons, a freshman from Fort Pierce, Florida, was hurt late in Saturday's scrimmage. He gave a thumbs-up as medics wheeled him out of Memorial Stadium. Coach Mike Riley said Simmons could feel and move his extremities and was able to answer questions. Riley said Simmons was taken to a hospital for precautionary X-rays because he had neck pain.
