BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP) — J'Mar Smith threw for 217 yards and a touchdown and Louisiana Tech beat Florida Atlantic 21-13 on Friday night to snap the Owls' 10-game home winning streak.
Louisiana Tech (6-2, 4-1 Conference USA), which is bowl eligible for the fifth straight season, scored two touchdowns in the final three minutes of the first half for a 14-10 lead.
Marshall’s defense forces 5 turnovers, beats FAU 31-7
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) — Alex Thomson passed for two touchdowns and ran for another and the Marshall defense forced five turnovers in beating Florida Atlantic 31-7 on Saturday.
Robison has record day, passes FAU past Air Force, 33-27
BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP) — A year ago, Chris Robison was a redshirting freshman throwing passes to the practice squad guys for FAU coach Lane Kiffin. On Saturday, he was breaking school records.
Robison completed 33 of 40 passes for a school-record 471 yards and three touchdowns and FAU notched its first victory over a service academy, beating Air Force 33-27 in the Owls' home opener.
FAU had lost to Navy twice, the only other times the Owls played a service academy.

Oklahoma backup QB Chris Robison dismissed
NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — Oklahoma backup quarterback Chris Robison has been dismissed from the program for violating team rules.
Coach Lincoln Riley made the announcement in a news release on Wednesday. He did not specify which rule was broken.
Robison, rated a four-star recruit by 247Sports, ESPN, Rivals and Scout, participated in spring practice after enrolling at Oklahoma in January. He completed 3 of 5 passes for 49 yards in the spring game, then was arrested for public intoxication hours later.
