TORONTO (AP) — The Arizona Coyotes are on a nice roll and just keep on winning in Toronto.
Vinnie Hinostroza scored in the third period and the Coyotes beat the slumping Maple Leafs 4-2 on Sunday night for their fifth win in the last seven games.
Clayton Keller, Mario Kempe and Lawson Crouse also scored and Darcy Kuemper stopped 25 shots as Arizona improved to 8-0-1 in its last nine trips to Toronto.
"We're really finding our identity here and how we want to play as a team," Hinostroza said.
Kessel scores in overtime, Penguins beat Coyotes 3-2
GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Pittsburgh coach Mike Sullivan did not like his team's effort in a loss to San Jose earlier this week. A parade to the penalty box in the first period did not lift his mood.
A dominating second period and a big goal from Phil Kessel had Sullivan feeling a lot better.
Kessel scored on a power play at 4:09 of overtime, Matt Murray stopped 30 shots and the Pittsburgh Penguins beat the Arizona Coyotes 3-2 on Friday night.
Coyotes rally to beat Ducks 5-4 in OT on Schmaltz’s goal
ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — The Arizona Coyotes are becoming adept at rallying from multi-goal deficits.
Nick Schmaltz's goal 33 seconds into overtime gave the Coyotes a 5-4 victory over the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday night after they trailed 4-2 midway through the second period. It was the third time in Arizona's last eight wins that it was down two or more.
Four-goal second period sends Coyotes past Blues, 6-1
GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Nick Schmaltz is turning out to be the kind of player the Arizona Coyotes hoped he'd be when they traded two former first-round picks for him.
And, 22-year-old Adin Hill has been stellar in net.
The two helped the Arizona Coyotes overpower the St. Louis Blues 6-1 on Saturday night. Schmaltz had two assists and has three points in three games since coming over from Chicago, and Hill has stopped 59 of 60 shots in Arizona's last three games, including 25 saves on Saturday.
Hill gets 1st NHL shutout as Coyotes top Predators 3-0
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Coyotes captain Oliver Ekman-Larsson made sure Adin Hill took home a souvenir from his first NHL shutout.
Nick Schmaltz had a goal and an assist, Hill made 29 saves and Arizona beat the Nashville Predators 3-0 on Thursday night.
Clayton Keller and Brad Richardson scored the other goals in Arizona's second straight victory. Schmaltz's two points were his first since being acquired Sunday in a trade with the Chicago Blackhawks.
Coach hit by puck, Flames rout Coyotes 6-1
GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Noah Hanifin and Mark Jankowski each scored twice, former Coyotes goalie Mike Smith just missed his 38th career shutout and the Calgary Flames routed Arizona 6-1 on Sunday.
Smith, making his first start in five games, made 28 saves in his first win since Nov. 1.
Calgary led 6-0 before Clayton Keller scored for Arizona with 6:16 remaining.
Three of the Flames' goals were short-handed. The Coyotes have allowed five shorted-handed goals in their last two games.
Grabner scores in OT to give Coyotes 5th straight win
GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Facing a Carolina Hurricanes team that leads the league in shots per game, the Arizona Coyotes needed every one of goalie Antti Raanta's career high 48 saves. They also needed overtime after giving up a three-goal lead.
Michael Grabner scored 1:17 into the extra period to lift the Coyotes to their fifth straight win, 4-3 over the Hurricanes on Friday night.

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Coyotes coach Rick Tocchet saw Thursday night's game as a must-win, and Arizona was up for the task.
It just took a couple of periods to get going.
Clayton Keller and Brad Richardson scored during Arizona's three-goal third, and the Coyotes beat the first-place Vancouver Canucks 4-1.
"In our eyes, it was a game that we needed," Tocchet said. "We were a little sloppy the first couple (of periods). But the third period, the players dug in, which I'm proud of."

CHICAGO (AP) — The handful of former Chicago Blackhawks who play for the Arizona Coyotes were excited to see Corey Crawford back on the ice after an extended absence.
Vinnie Hinostroza and company also enjoyed skipping town with a win.
Hinostroza scored twice against his former team, Antti Raanta made 33 saves and the Coyotes spoiled Crawford's season debut, beating the sleepy Blackhawks 4-1 on Thursday night.

NHL aims to get more teams involved in outdoor games
CHICAGO (AP) — Clayton Keller took an eight-hour bus ride from Montreal to Boston for a hockey game at Fenway Park and won't soon forget the experience of playing outdoors.
"It was pretty cool," Keller said. He'd love to take the game outside again in the NHL with the Arizona Coyotes but will probably have to wait a while.

Keller set the Coyotes' rookie goal mark with an empty-net score in Arizona's 4-1 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Monday night. Keller's goal was his 23rd, surpassing Peter Mueller's total in the 2007-08 season. Keller also became the 22nd Coyote to reach 60 points in a season, and Arizona improved to 17-12-6 since January.

WASHINGTON (AP) — In his final season at the University of North Dakota, Brock Boeser took a high-level course on what life in the NHL would be like. He aced it.
Boeser fought through a wrist injury that required surgery and was defended like the star he is quickly becoming as a rookie with the Vancouver Canucks.

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Under pressure in a shootout, Carter Hutton looked like a poised veteran.
The backup goalie stopped both attempts he faced, and Brayden Schenn and Alexander Steen scored in the tiebreaker to lead the St. Louis Blues past the Arizona Coyotes 3-2 on Thursday night.
St. Louis beat the Coyotes for the 12th straight time and has won seven of eight overall.
Hutton, making his fourth start of the season, turned aside Clayton Keller and Derek Stepan to seal the victory.
Carlson scores in OT, Caps beat Coyotes 3-2 for 3rd straight
WASHINGTON (AP) — John Carlson scored the winner in overtime and the Washington Capitals came back to beat the Arizona Coyotes 3-2 on Monday night for their first three-game winning streak of the season.
Carlson scored with 45.4 seconds left on the clock in OT, his first goal in 16 games, after T.J. Oshie whiffed on his shot attempt. Devante Smith-Pelly and Alex Ovechkin scored in regulation for Washington, which got 24 saves from Braden Holtby.
Keller helps Arizona beat Carolina 2-1 for 2nd win
GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — The Arizona Coyotes finally got their first home win on Saturday night.
Rookie Clayton Keller and Antti Raanta led the way.
Keller scored in regulation and the shootout, sending Arizona to a 2-1 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes.
Raanta had 36 saves in the Coyotes' second win of the season. Derek Stepan also scored in the shootout, and Raanta stopped Derek Ryan's attempt to end the game.
Keller's backhand goal opened the shootout for Arizona.
Seguin scores twice in 3rd, Stars beat winless Coyotes 5-4
GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — In a close game on the road, the Dallas Stars turned to a pair of playmakers on their top line.
Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn came through.
Seguin scored two third-period goals and the Stars held off Arizona 5-4 on Thursday night, sending the winless Coyotes to their seventh straight defeat to begin the season.
Red Wings break late tie, beat winless Coyotes 4-2
GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Jimmy Howard faced 35 shots Thursday night, the third time in three games Howard has seen at least that many attempts.
The Detroit Red Wings goalie stopped 33 of them, but one stood out in his team's 4-2 victory over the winless Arizona Coyotes.
Howard stretched for a pad save on Clayton Keller's shot that looked like it would go under him, which started a short-handed rush that produced the tiebreaking goal for Luke Glendening with 3:24 to play.
