Blackhawks goalie Collin Delia agrees to 3-year extension
CHICAGO (AP) — Blackhawks goaltender Collin Delia has agreed to a three-year contract extension through the 2021-22 season. The average annual value is $1 million.
Delia was promoted from the minors when Corey Crawford was placed on injured reserve on Dec. 17 with a concussion. The 24-year-old Delia is 6-2-3 with a 2.98 goals-against average and .923 save percentage in 12 appearances this season with Chicago.
Blackhawks extend Capitals’ season-worst skid with 8-5 win
CHICAGO (AP) — Jonathan Toews had three goals and two assists, Patrick Kane added two goals and three assists, and the Chicago Blackhawks handed the Washington Capitals their season-high fifth consecutive loss with an 8-5 victory on Sunday.
Brandon Saad and Alex DeBrincat also scored and Dylan Strome added an empty-netter as last-place Chicago stopped its own five-game slide. Collin Delia made 34 saves, including impressive stops on John Carlson and Tom Wilson in the second.
Theodore helps Golden Knights beat Blackhawks 4-3
CHICAGO (AP) — Shea Theodore drove to the net, and Carl Dahlstrom took care of the rest.
Vegas made its own luck in Chicago.
Theodore scored 1:19 into overtime when Dahlstrom slid the puck into his own goal, lifting the Golden Knights to a 4-3 victory over the Blackhawks on Saturday night.
Forsberg lifts Predators past Blackhawks, 4-3 in OT
CHICAGO (AP) — Filip Forsberg scored a minute into overtime for his second goal of the game, and the Nashville Predators beat the Chicago Blackhawks 4-3 on Wednesday night for their third straight victory.
Colton Sissons and Viktor Arvidsson also scored to help the Predators improve to 3-0-1 on a six-game trip. Ryan Johansen and Mattias Ekholm each had two assists, and Pekka Rinne made 28 saves.

UNIONDALE, N.Y. (AP) — Devon Toews scored his first NHL goal at 1:48 of overtime to lift the New York Islanders past the Chicago Blackhawks 3-2 Thursday night for their fifth straight win.
Mathew Barzal scored twice to keep up his scoring binge and help the Islanders win for the eighth time in nine games. Robin Lehner, making his third straight start, stopped 19 shots as New York moved to 3-0-1 in four games at the Nassau Coliseum this season.
Kane gets hat trick to lift Blackhawks over Wild 5-2
CHICAGO (AP) — Patrick Kane is heating up, and so are the Chicago Blackhawks.
Kane had a hat trick, Brandon Saad scored twice and Chicago beat the Minnesota Wild 5-2 on Thursday night for its fourth victory in five games.
Kane completed his fifth career regular-season hat trick and first since March 2017 by scoring into an empty net with 26.9 seconds left. He leads the Blackhawks with 20 goals and 47 points, and has five goals and five assists during a six-game point streak.
Collin Delia makes 35 saves, Blackhawks beat Avs 2-1
DENVER (AP) — Collin Delia's first start against Colorado was forgettable. He made his second one against the Avalanche memorable.
Delia made 35 saves in his first NHL start of the season and the Chicago Blackhawks beat the Avalanche 2-1 on Friday night for their third straight victory.
Wilson breaks tie in 3rd period Capitals beat Sabres 2-1
WASHINGTON (AP) — Tom Wilson broke a tie with seven minutes left, Braden Holtby made 36 saves and the Washington Capitals beat the Buffalo Sabres 2-1 on Friday night.
Evgeny Kuznetsov started the winning play when he stole the puck from goalie Carter Hutton behind the net. The center quickly fed Wilson just outside of the crease. Wilson has 10 goals in 15 games this season.
Blackhawks place G Crawford on injured reserve
CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago Blackhawks have placed goaltender Corey Crawford on injured reserve after he suffered a concussion for the second straight season.
Crawford got hurt in the first period of Sunday's 7-3 loss to San Jose when the back of his head struck the right post during a goalmouth pileup. He also missed the final part of last year and the start of this season because of a concussion.
Accountant-turned-goalie helps Blackhawks beat Jets
CHICAGO (AP) — Scott Foster thought it was going to be just another night. Then the 36-year-old accountant signed a contract, put on his goaltender gear and waited in Chicago's locker room. Then he got into the game.
The Komets want more shooters this season. And based on their first preseason game, tonight in Indianapolis, they might have them.
Whether or not they have finishers remains to be seen.
The Komets totaled 39 shots on goal but lost 3-1 to the Indy Fuel at Indiana Farmers Coliseum, in front of an announced crowd of 2,406.
Captain Jamie Schaafsma had the only Fort Wayne goal, tying it at 1 at 8:51 of the first period, and it was set up by newcomer Marc-Olivier Roy.
