SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — The Florida Panthers didn't lose their composure after giving up the lead late in the game.
Mike Matheson scored 4:14 into overtime to lift the Panthers over the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-2 on Thursday night.
Matheson tipped in a pass from Jonathan Huberdeau from the slot, saving Florida after the Panthers let in the tying goal midway through the third period. That came two nights after allowing three third-period goals in a 3-2 loss to the Blues.
Soderberg, Compher lead Avalanche past Panthers 5-2
SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — The Colorado Avalanche are making strides on the road.
Carl Soderberg scored twice, J.T. Compher broke a third-period tie and Colorado beat the Florida Panthers 5-2 on Thursday night.
The Avalanche won their 11th road game after winning only 15 all of last season.

McCann has go-ahead goal after review, Panthers win 5-4

After allowing two goals in the first five minutes of the game, the Panthers scored three times in a span of 2:28 in the third period and then held on for a 5-4 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday night.

Jonathan Marchessault scored two goals, Thomas Vanek had a career-high four assists and the Panthers beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 7-2 on Tuesday night to stop a five-game slide.
Aleksander Barkov had a goal and an assist for Florida, which won for only the second time in 10 games. Keith Yandle, Jussi Jokinen, Reilly Smith and Colton Sceviour also scored.
Russell scores in 3rd to lift Oilers over Panthers, 4-3
SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — Kris Russell's goal with 7:58 left was his first in more than a year and lifted the Edmonton Oilers over Florida 4-3 on Wednesday night to snap the Panthers' five-game winning streak.
Russell's goal was his first since Feb. 11, 2016, when he played for Calgary. He went goalless in his first 48 games with the Oilers.

Sceviour’s hat trick leads Panthers past Red Wings, 5-2
DETROIT (AP) — Colton Sceviour had no recollection of his last hat trick.
Sceviour scored three goals — one at even strength, one on the power play and one short-handed — for his first NHL hat trick and added an assist to lead the Florida Panthers to a 5-2 win over the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday.
"That was exciting; I can't even remember the last hat trick I scored," Sceviour said. "I can't take too much credit, though. I think all three goals were shots from the blue (the crease)."

SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — The Florida Panthers' new additions are making the most of their opportunity.
Colton Sceviour scored his first goal for Florida and Aleksander Barkov added his second goal of the season to lead the Panthers to a 4-1 win over the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday night.
Sceviour signed with the Panthers as a free agent in July after playing parts of five seasons with Dallas.
Panthers’ Huberdeau hurt in win over Devils
WEST POINT, N.Y. (AP) — Jonathan Huberdeau left with an apparent left leg injury during the Florida Panthers' 4-2 win over the New Jersey Devils on Saturday night.
As Huberdeau turned away from a check behind New Jersey's net, the skate of Devils center Sergey Kalinin appeared to come down on Huberdeau's left ankle. The Panthers have not offered an update on Huberdeau's status.
