NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) — Colton Weisbrod scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, James Harrison added 18 points with four 3-pointers, and Lamar held off Northwestern State 79-75 on Wednesday night for the Demons' 15th straight loss.
Torey Noel had 10 points and five assists for the Cardinals (15-10, 7-5 Southland Conference), who made eight 3-pointers and forced 18 turnovers but turned it over 14 times.

BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) — Colton Weisbrod scored 21 points to lead five in double-figure scoring, and Lamar closed on a 10-2 run to beat McNeese 86-80 on Saturday.
Kalob Ledoux hit a jump shot and McNeese (7-11, 4-4 Southland Conference) had its last lead, 78-76 with 4:07 remaining. Zjori Bosha made a layup and the Cardinals shot 8 of 11 from the free-throw line to end it. The Cowboys missed four straight shots before Jacob Ledoux made a jumper with 15 seconds left.
Southland Conference leader Nicholls rolls past Lamar, 79-74
BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) — Roddy Peters and Tevon Saddler combined to score 50 points and Nicholls took over first-place in the Southland Conference after turning away Lamar, 79-74 on Wednesday night.
The Colonels entered the game tied with Southeastern Louisiana, but the Lions lost to Sam Houston State, 75-65, leaving Nicholls a half-game ahead of New Orleans, a 73-67 winner over Northwestern State.
Bosha’s only bucket of the game helps Lamar beat SHSU in OT
BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) — Zjori Bosha made just one shot the whole game, drilling a 3-pointer in the final seconds of overtime as Lamar rallied to beat Sam Houston State 84-77 on Saturday night.
Bosha's trey gave Lamar a 78-75 lead with 37 seconds left in the extra period. Nick Garth made four straight free throws and Josh Nzeakor added two more for the final score.
SE Louisiana off to best Southland start, beats Lamar 63-58
BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) — Marlain Veal scored 15 points and converted a key 3-point play to lead Southeastern Louisiana to a 63-58 victory over Lamar on Wednesday night to remain undefeated atop the Southland Conference standings.

BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) — Deandre Jones converted a three-point play, hit a 3-pointer and assisted on another in a second overtime period as Central Arkansas rallied to beat Lamar, 100-91 on Saturday.
Jones finished with a triple double, scoring 13 points, grabbing 11 rebounds and dishing 11 assists.

Nick Garth pushed Lamar past the Islanders for good with back-to-back 3s in a 50-second span for a 74-72 lead with 1:14 left while the Islanders missed their last seven shots from the field. Garth added 19 points for Lamar (10-5, 2-0 Southland).

BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) — Colton Weisbrod and Josh Nzeakor combined for 27 points and Zjori Bosha had eight steals as Lamar defeated St. Thomas 60-46 on Tuesday night, running its record to 7-1 for its best start to a season in a decade.
Weisbrod, 15 points, opened the scoring at the foul line and the Cardinals built a 15-4 lead and the Celts of the NAIA came as close as five in the first half, but the lead mostly stayed in double digits.
Lamar reaches century mark again, tops Southern-New Orleans
BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) — Nick Garth made six 3-pointers and scored 25 points to help Lamar beat NAIA Southern-New Orleans 105-67 on Wednesday night.
Colton Weisbrod had 17 points, nine rebounds and three assists for Lamar (4-1), which had a 12-point setback to Cal State Bakersfield last Sunday. Zjori Bosha added 12 points, T.J. Atwood 11, and Avery Sullivan had 10 points and 11 rebounds. The Cardinals shot 56 percent, went to the free-throw line 34 times and outrebounded SUNO 51-32.
Atwood, Weisbrod help Lamar beat Jarvis Christian
BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) — T.J. Atwood had career highs of 21 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists and Colton Weisbrod had a double-double to lead Lamar to a 103-66 win over NAIA Jarvis Christian on Thursday night.
Weisbrod finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds, Josh Nzeakor added 14 points and Nick Garth scored 13 — including four 3-pointers — with seven assists for Lamar (3-0). Garth, a junior, moved past Keith Veney into third on the school's career list with 169 made 3s.
Harrison guides Lamar to 66-60 win over Coastal Carolina
BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) — James Harrison came off the bench to score 17 points, making all five of his 3-point attempts, and Lamar rallied late in the second half to earn a 66-60 victory over Coastal Carolina on Tuesday night.
Lamar trailed the entire game until Harrison kick-started the comeback with three-straight 3-pointers to pull the Cardinals (2-0) within 50-48. Neither team scored over the next 3:37 until Colton Weisbrod made two free throws to tie it.
