LAST YEAR: Cowboys missed playoffs year after dynamic rookie tandem of QB Dak Prescott and RB Ezekiel Elliott fueled Dallas to NFC-best 13 wins. Elliott's six-game suspension during season over domestic violence allegations was big reason. Prescott's performance dipped after winning NFL Offensive Rookie of Year in 2016. Offensive line was less consistent than usual. Defense was solid but not spectacular.

If chaos is a ladder, don’t walk underneath the 2018 NFL draft unless you want the bad luck. It’s going to be crazy.
This is what happens when the top of the draft is weak, the overall strength of draft lacks players at premiere positions, and most importantly, there are myriad quarterbacks expected to go in the top-40.
The Detroit Lions are likely in the market for a starting interior offensive lineman this offseason, one who can play either guard or center. And for his second consecutive mock draft, ESPN's Todd McShay believes the team will look to fill that void in the first round of the NFL draft.
Last month, McShay mocked Georgia offensive tackle Isaiah Wynn to the Lions. This time, it's Texas offensive tackle Connor Williams.
