COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Corey Tillery poured in 30 points, hitting a career-high 10 3-pointers, and Tennessee Tech rolled to a 118-60 victory over Warren Wilson College on Thursday night.
Tillery sank 10 of 14 from distance but missed both of his 2-point tries against the Owls, who hail from the United State Collegiate Athletics Association. Tillery's effort helped the Golden Eagles (2-7) shoot 46 percent from beyond the arc and 58 percent overall.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Bjorn Broman scored 20 points on six 3-pointers and Winthrop rallied in the second half to beat Tennessee Tech 82-70 on Wednesday night.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Hunter Vick scored 20 points, including a pair of free throws with 12.6 seconds remaining to blunt a comeback rally and Tennessee Tech held on to defeat Louisiana Monroe 79-73 Friday night to end a five-game losing skid.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Parker McKinney passed for 333 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another on Saturday, and Eastern Kentucky beat Tennessee Tech 37-6 to finish the regular season with four straight wins.
McKinney completed 31 of 42 passes and BK Smith had 12 receptions for 163 yards. TJ Comstock capped the scoring with a pick-6 and the Colonels defense held the Golden Eagles out of the end zone.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Chandler Burks rushed for 91 yards and three touchdowns, and Kennesaw State scored 42 straight points in a 49-10 victory over Tennessee Tech on Thursday night.
Kennesaw State, which led the FCS in rushing last season, ran for a school record 507 yards on 68 carries. The Owls attempted just three passes.
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Authorities in Tennessee say 10 men have been charged with seeking sex from minors.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and authorities in Putnam County said Thursday that they conducted an undercover operation in Cookeville from Feb. 15 through Feb. 17.
TBI said the focus was on people seeking sex with females under 18. Ads were placed in backpage.com and two TBI agents posed as women offering sex on that site.
Tennessee man indicted on murder charges in January death
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — A Tennessee man has been indicted on murder charges in a death last month in Sparta.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said a Cumberland County grand jury returned indictments Monday charging 47-year-old Billy Joe Wannyn of Spencer with first-degree murder, felony murder and aggravated robbery.
Wannyn is charged in the death Jan.20 of Albin Buechel in his home in Sparta.
Jacksonville State beats Tennessee Tech 51-44
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Christian Cunningham scored 10 points and grabbed 12 rebounds and Jacksonville State beat Tennessee Tech 51-44 on Saturday night in a regular season finale with postseason implications.
The Gamecocks (20-11, 11-7 Ohio Valley Conference) came into the game tied with Tennessee Tech for fourth place in the OVC standings after upsetting Belmont 78-67 on Thursday. The win gives them the No. 4 seed in the conference tournament.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Shaq Calhoun scored 21 points, Curtis Phillips Jr. had a double-double and Tennessee Tech led most of the way in a 69-64 win over Tennessee State on Thursday night.
Phillips had back-to-back layups for a 7-4 lead with 13:32 left in the first half and the Golden Eagles (18-12, 10-7 Ohio Valley) led the rest of the game. Calhoun and Cade Crosland scored consecutive 3-pointers before intermission and Tennessee Tech led 33-19 at halftime.
Egekeze lifts Belmont to 75-70 win over Tennessee Tech
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Amanze Egekeze poured in 28 points, including a go-ahead 3-pointer with 60 seconds left in the game, to propel Belmont to a 75-70 victory over Tennessee Tech on Saturday night.
Egekeze hit all 13 of his free-throw attempts and added 10 rebounds to notch his second double-double of the season for the Bruins (20-7, 12-2 Ohio Valley Conference). Kevin McClain scored 15 and Dylan Windler finished with 14 points and 11 boards for his 12th double-double of the campaign.
Tenn Tech recovers to hold off UT Martin 63-55
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Curtis Phillips scored 17 points and Tennessee Tech made 10 of 16 free throws in the final five minutes to defeat Tennessee-Martin 63-55 on Saturday night after blowing an 18-point second-half lead.
After the Skyhawks caught the Golden Eagles with a 29-11 run in less than 12 minutes, Tennessee Tech recovered with a 10-2 run to pull the game out.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Kajon Mack had 22 points and eight rebounds, Curtis Phillips Jr. added 19 points and 10 rebounds, and Tennessee Tech beat Southeast Missouri State 76-65 on Thursday night.
Tennessee Tech dominated on the boards, outrebounding the Redhawks 43-23.
The Golden Eagles (14-8, 6-3 Ohio Valley conference) never led in the first half, but managed to keep things close despite shooting just 37 percent overall, 3 of 13 behind the arc. The Redhawks led 33-29.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Curtis Phillips Jr., scored 17 points with 10 rebounds and made the game-winning shot at the buzzer to lift Tennessee Tech to a 69-67 Ohio Valley Conference opening win against Morehead State Thursday night.
Phillips grabbed the offensive rebound when Kajon Mack missed a short-shot attempt near the rim with three seconds left. A.J. Hicks's layup with 32 seconds remaining tied it at 67.
Tennessee Tech brings back Dewayne Alexander as head coach
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tennessee Tech has brought back Dewayne Alexander as the 12th head coach in program history.
School officials introduced Alexander at a news conference Friday morning.
Alexander played at Tennessee Tech, was an assistant coach and was acting head coach when Watson Brown resigned after the 2015 season.

UT Martin coasts to 24-0 win over Tennessee Tech
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Dresser Winn threw for two touchdowns and ran in another Saturday to lead Tennessee-Martin to a 24-0 win over Tennessee Tech to close out the regular season.
Winn finished 13-of-22 passing for 210 yards and also was UT-Martin's top rusher with 12 carries for 61 yards. He connected with Caylon Weathers on 4-yard touchdown throw in the first quarter and with Londell Lee on a 16-yard pass in the third to cap an 80-yard drive.
Calhoun, Alexander help Tennessee Tech beat Boyce 105-48
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Shaq Calhoun scored 20 points on 8-of-9 shooting and Courtney Alexander had a double-double to help Tennessee Tech beat Division II Boyce College 105-48 on Thursday night.
Alexander made all six of his field-goal attempts and finished with 14 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists. Aleksa Jugovic also scored 14, Curtis Phillips had 12, Cade Crosland added 11 and Micaiah Henry 10 for Tennessee Tech (2-1).
Phillips, Ramsey lead Tennessee Tech past Midway, 94-56
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Curtis Phillips Jr. and Mason Ramsey combined to score 34 points and Tennessee Tech pulled steadily away from NAIA Midway, coasting to a 94-56 victory in the season opener Friday night.
The victory gives Tennessee Tech 39 wins in its last 41 home openers.
The game was close through the first seven minutes, but the Eagles pulled away to take a 48-32 halftime lead, then opened the second half with a 29-3 run.
Austin Peay beats Tennessee Tech, clinches Sgt. York Trophy
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Ahmaad Tanner ran for 104 yards and a touchdown and Austin Peay won the Sgt. York Trophy outright for the first time with a 35-28 win over Tennessee Tech on Saturday.
The Governors (6-4, 5-1 Ohio Valley Conference) clinched the Sgt. York Trophy, a quadrangle series, with wins this season against Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech and UT Martin.

Authorities: Tennessee inmate tried to have witness murdered
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — A Tennessee jail inmate faces an indictment on charges of trying to solicit the murder of a witness in his pending case.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says 39-year-old Calvin Booher was incarcerated when he attempted to arrange for a witness in his arson case to be murdered.
TBI says Booher was arrested a year ago and charged with aggravated arson connected to several fires in the Livingston area.
Doss guides Jacksonville State past Tennessee Tech, 34-7
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Kendrick Doss completed 11 of 13 passes for 196 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another score to lead Jacksonville State to a 34-7 win over Tennessee Tech on Saturday night.
It was the Ohio Valley Conference opener for the Gamecocks (3-1), who have won three straight conference titles.
Acklin scores twice, W Illinois tops Tenn Tech 41-14
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Jaelon Acklin had a touchdown rushing and receiving in the second half and Western Illinois opened the season with a 41-14 win over Tennessee Tech on Thursday night.
Defensive end Khalen Saunders added a 1-yard touchdown and Mike Viti returned an interception 45 yards for a score as the Leathernecks led 34-0 after three quarters.
Saunders bulled his way into the end zone in the second quarter and Sam Crosa added two field goals to make it 13-0.
