SEATTLE (AP) — Right-hander Cory Gearrin agreed to a $1.4 million, one-year contract with the Seattle Mariners and infielder Tim Beckham struck a $1.75 million, one-year deal.
The 32-year-old Gearrin was 2-1 with one save and a 3.77 ERA last year in 62 games for San Francisco, Texas and Oakland. He struck out 53 and walked 21 in 57 1/3 innings, holding batters to a .255 average.
OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — Liam Hendriks agreed to a $2.15 million, one-year contract with the Oakland Athletics and fellow right-hander Ryan Dull settled on an $860,000, one-year deal.
Oakland failed to offer contracts to right-handers Mike Fiers, Cory Gearrin and Kendall Graveman, allowing the trio to become free agents.
Dull had six stints with the A's last season, going 0-0 with a 4.26 ERA in 28 relief appearances.
OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — The Oakland Athletics have acquired right-handed reliever Cory Gearrin from the Texas Rangers for minor league right-handers Abdiel Mendoza and Teodoro Ortega.
The teams announced the deal Friday, the last day that players can be traded and be eligible for the postseason.
Gearrin has combined to go 2-1 with a 3.51 ERA and one save in 56 relief appearances this season with Texas and San Francisco. He began the season with the Giants and was traded to the Rangers in July.
DETROIT (AP) — The Texas Rangers have acquired right-handed pitchers Cory Gearrin and Jason Bahr, and outfielder Austin Jackson from the San Francisco Giants for a player to be named later or cash considerations.
To make room on the 40-man roster, right-handed pitchers Tony Barnette (strained right lat) and Matt Bush (right elbow strain) have been transferred from the 10- to the 60-day disabled list.

The deal came Friday for the 27-year-old Panik, who has been limited by injuries the past three seasons and spent a stint on the concussion list in 2017. San Francisco also announced four others to reach one-year contracts Friday: right-handers Hunter Strickland, Sam Dyson and Cory Gearrin and left-hander Will Smith.
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Ty Kelly doesn't play much, but he's learned to make the most of his opportunities.
"He's my secret weapon," Phillies manager Pete Mackanin said.
Mackanin summoned him at the most opportune of times on Saturday night, and Kelly delivered.
Kelly had a pinch-hit grand slam, Rhys Hoskins hit a three-run homer and Philadelphia snapped a six-game losing streak, beating the San Francisco Giants 12-9.

Matt Kemp hit a two-run homer off Cory Gearrin in the 11th inning to lift Atlanta to a 5-3 win over the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday night.
The homer, the third of the game for Atlanta, was Kemp's seventh game-ending shot of his career.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — The San Francisco Giants have agreed to one-year contracts with infielder Ehire Adrianza and right-hander Cory Gearrin to avoid salary arbitration.
The team announced the moves on Friday.
Adrianza batted .254 with two homers and seven RBIs in 40 games last season.
Gearrin went 3-2 with a 4.28 ERA in 56 relief appearances.
PHOENIX (AP) — The Arizona Diamondbacks did some damage against Giants ace Madison Bumgarner, but couldn't protect a three-run lead and lost 7-6 in 12 innings Friday night.
Pinch-hitter Kelby Tomlinson's one-out single in the 12th drove in Brandon Belt with the go-ahead run, and the Diamondbacks were unable to extend the game any further despite putting two runners on in the bottom of the inning.
