Bojan Bogdanovic scores 26 points, Pacers beat Magic 112-90
ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — The Indiana Pacers left a lot better after playing the Orlando Magic.
The Pacers routed the Magic 112-90 behind 26 points from Bojan Bogdanovic and 15 points from reserve guard Cory Joseph.
They also overcame a bout with food poisoning that kept top reserve Domantas Sabonis out of the game and affected several players and coach Nate McMillan. None of it showed as Indiana beat Orlando for the eight straight time and 15th time in the last 16 meetings.
Harden’s 40 lifts Rockets to 1st home win 115-103 over Indy
HOUSTON (AP) — It's more than three weeks into the season and the Houston Rockets finally got their first home win on Sunday night.
With the hole they're in early, they'll need plenty more to dig their way out.
James Harden scored a season-high 40 points and Chris Paul added 26 to help the Rockets to a 115-103 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Sunday night.
"It's nice to get a win," Paul said. "We've obviously been struggling ... but we've got to keep building."
Bogdanovic, Pacers cruise to 112-87 victory over Hawks
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Two nights after arguably their ugliest effort of the season, the Pacers looked refreshed and were never seriously threatened.
Bojan Bogdanovic scored 21 points, Cory Joseph scored 10 of his 18 points in the opening quarter, and Indiana routed the Atlanta Hawks 112-87 on Friday night. The Pacers were coming off a lackluster 20-point home loss to Utah.
INDIANAPOLIS — Despite a late-game rally, the Milwaukee Bucks came out on the short end Monday night.
Milwaukee’s Khris Middleton stole Victor Oladipo’s pass with 10 seconds left and Indiana leading 90-89.
He rushed to the basket, but Cory Joseph chased him down and got a hand on the basketball before Middleton could attempt a shot. The ball rolled out of bounds, and referees called a jump ball after video replay.
WASHINGTON (AP) — For the second straight game, the Indiana Pacers prevailed on the road over a potential playoff rival, even if it wasn't always pleasing to the eye.
Victor Oladipo scored 33 points and Bojan Bogdanovic added 20 as the Pacers defeated the Washington Wizards 98-95 on Sunday despite nearly giving back a 17-point lead.
They nearly did the same thing Friday night in Milwaukee.
Pacers acquire guard Cory Joseph from Raptors
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The Indiana Pacers have acquired guard Cory Joseph from the Toronto Raptors in exchange for the draft rights of forward Emir Preldzic.
Joseph, who is 6-foot-3, averaged 9.3 points, 2.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 25 minutes last season. He made 22 starts.
Joseph, who turns 26 next month, played in Toronto for two seasons after spending the first four years of his pro career in San Antonio.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Looking down the barrel of some significant luxury tax penalties, Toronto Raptors GM Masai Ujiri is moving swiftly to get below the tax line while keeping his team competitive in the wide-open Eastern Conference.
Ujiri pulled off two trades in about 12 hours, sending veteran forward DeMarre Carroll to Brooklyn in a salary dump and landing C.J. Miles in a sign-and-trade with Indiana for Cory Joseph, three people with knowledge of the dealings told The Associated Press.
TORONTO (AP) — Raptors guard Kyle Lowry is active but was not in the starting lineup for Game 3 of Toronto's playoff series against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
A three-time All-Star, Lowry sprained his left ankle in the third quarter of Toronto's Game 2 loss on Wednesday and did not practice Thursday.
He worked out a few hours before Friday's game, and was on the court during warmups but limped back to the locker room before the national anthems.
