(AP) — Marlon Hunter and Jamall Gregory scored 18 points apiece and Malcolm Drumwright sank 1 of 2 free throws with 2 seconds left to help No. 4 seed Jacksonville State hold off fifth-seeded Tennessee Tech 73-70 on Thursday in the quarterfinals of the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament.
The win sends the Gamecocks (21-11) to a semifinal game against No. 1 seed Murray State (24-5) on Friday.
Tennessee Tech controls Tennessee St. in 69-64 victory
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Shaq Calhoun scored 21 points, Curtis Phillips Jr. had a double-double and Tennessee Tech led most of the way in a 69-64 win over Tennessee State on Thursday night.
Phillips had back-to-back layups for a 7-4 lead with 13:32 left in the first half and the Golden Eagles (18-12, 10-7 Ohio Valley) led the rest of the game. Calhoun and Cade Crosland scored consecutive 3-pointers before intermission and Tennessee Tech led 33-19 at halftime.
Phillips scores 29, Tennessee Tech downs Austin Peay 86-80
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Curtis Phillips Jr. scored a career-high 29 points with four 3-pointers, grabbed seven rebounds and had three steals to lead Tennessee Tech to an 86-80 win over Austin Peay on Thursday night to end a three-game skid.
Kajon Mack scored 19 points with seven assists and Shaq Calhoun added 16 points for the Golden Eagles (17-11, 9-6 Ohio Valley Conference), who hit 10 3-pointers and shot 53 percent from the field to sweep the season series against the Governors.
Egekeze lifts Belmont to 75-70 win over Tennessee Tech
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Amanze Egekeze poured in 28 points, including a go-ahead 3-pointer with 60 seconds left in the game, to propel Belmont to a 75-70 victory over Tennessee Tech on Saturday night.
Egekeze hit all 13 of his free-throw attempts and added 10 rebounds to notch his second double-double of the season for the Bruins (20-7, 12-2 Ohio Valley Conference). Kevin McClain scored 15 and Dylan Windler finished with 14 points and 11 boards for his 12th double-double of the campaign.
Tenn Tech recovers to hold off UT Martin 63-55
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Curtis Phillips scored 17 points and Tennessee Tech made 10 of 16 free throws in the final five minutes to defeat Tennessee-Martin 63-55 on Saturday night after blowing an 18-point second-half lead.
After the Skyhawks caught the Golden Eagles with a 29-11 run in less than 12 minutes, Tennessee Tech recovered with a 10-2 run to pull the game out.
Mack, Phillips combine for 41 points and 18 rebounds in win
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Kajon Mack had 22 points and eight rebounds, Curtis Phillips Jr. added 19 points and 10 rebounds, and Tennessee Tech beat Southeast Missouri State 76-65 on Thursday night.
Tennessee Tech dominated on the boards, outrebounding the Redhawks 43-23.
The Golden Eagles (14-8, 6-3 Ohio Valley conference) never led in the first half, but managed to keep things close despite shooting just 37 percent overall, 3 of 13 behind the arc. The Redhawks led 33-29.
Harris leads Morehead State to 74-55 win over Tennessee Tech
MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) — Lamontray Harris posted his fourth-straight double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds and Morehead State clamped down on Tennessee Tech in the second half to post a 74-55 Ohio Valley Conference victory on Saturday afternoon.
With the Eagles up by two, 18-16, with 5:33 left in the first half, Harris knocked down a jumper to ignite a 10-0 run and they went on to lead by as many as 13 points twice before halftime.
Mack lifts Tennessee Tech over Eastern Kentucky 70-67

Phillips was 8 of 12 from the field. Aleksa Jugovic added 22 points and made all 10 of his free throws for the Golden Eagles. Kajon Mack and Mason Ramsey each chipped in 12 points.
Tennessee Tech edges Tennessee State 87-81 in overtime
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Curtis Phillips Jr. scored a career-high 28 points, Shaq Calhoun added 23 more, including a 3-pointer to force overtime, and Tennessee Tech slipped past Tennessee State for an 87-81 win Saturday.
In overtime, Aleksa Jugovic got a 3-point play to put Tennessee Tech on top 78-76 and the Golden Eagles hung on, holding Tennessee State to just four points over the final two minutes. Jugovic got seven of his 17 points in the extra period.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Curtis Phillips Jr., scored 17 points with 10 rebounds and made the game-winning shot at the buzzer to lift Tennessee Tech to a 69-67 Ohio Valley Conference opening win against Morehead State Thursday night.
Phillips grabbed the offensive rebound when Kajon Mack missed a short-shot attempt near the rim with three seconds left. A.J. Hicks's layup with 32 seconds remaining tied it at 67.
Jugovic leads Tennessee Tech over New Mexico 104-96
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Aleksa Jugovic hit his first nine shots and finished with a career-high 31 points to help Tennessee Tech knock off New Mexico 104-96 on Tuesday night.
Jugovic hit all seven of his 3-pointers, including a dagger in the final minute that put the Golden Eagles (4-1) up 97-93, and also added six assists.
Chris McNeal scored 29 points on 7-of-11 shooting on 3-pointers, and Sam Logwood added 21 for the Lobos (2-2).
Tennessee State beats Kennesaw State 82-68
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Curtis Phillips Jr. scored 21 points with eight rebounds and five assists and led five players in double figures as Tennessee State beat Kennesaw State 82-68 on Saturday night.
Phillips was 7 of 18 from the field including three 3-pointers for the Golden Eagles (3-1). Aleksa Jugovic added 14 points and four assists, Mason Ramsey had 12 points and seven rebounds and Courtney Alexander II and Kajon Mack had 10 points apiece. Alexander also led the team with 10 rebounds.
Calhoun, Alexander help Tennessee Tech beat Boyce 105-48
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Shaq Calhoun scored 20 points on 8-of-9 shooting and Courtney Alexander had a double-double to help Tennessee Tech beat Division II Boyce College 105-48 on Thursday night.
Alexander made all six of his field-goal attempts and finished with 14 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists. Aleksa Jugovic also scored 14, Curtis Phillips had 12, Cade Crosland added 11 and Micaiah Henry 10 for Tennessee Tech (2-1).
