PHOENIX (AP) — Eli Chuha registered 15 points and seven rebounds as New Mexico State won its ninth straight game, edging past Grand Canyon 67-64 on Saturday night.

Grand Canyon (14-7, 7-1 Western Athletic Conference) and CSU Bakersfield (15-7, 6-2) entered tied with New Mexico State (18-4, 7-1), which beat Chicago State 83-39 Saturday night, atop the conference. The Antelopes host New Mexico State next Saturday.

Grand Canyon won its third straight game after losing it season opener at South Dakota State. The Antelopes have won 52 home games over the past four seasons, the fourth highest total in Division I behind only St. Mary's (55), Oregon (53) and Louisville (53).

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Alessandro Lever scored 29 points and Damari Milstead sank two free throws with 21 seconds remaining as third-seeded Grand Canyon recovered from first-half jitters in the school's first trip to the post season and defeat No. 5 seed Missouri-Kansas City 77-74 in the Western Athletic Conference quarterfinals Thursday.
Grand Canyon (21-10) will face No. 2 seed Utah Valley (21-9) in a Friday semifinal.
