EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Miles Bridges attracts a lot of attention on offense, drawing eyes as one of the top players in college basketball.
He's only one of many Michigan State players defenses have to try to stop.
LONG BEACH, Calif. (AP) — Jordan Griffin scored a career-high 21 points, Deishuan Booker had 13 points and eight rebounds, and Long Beach State pulled away from Stanford late for a 76-68 win on Sunday.
Long Beach State (4-6) won for just the second time in its last eight games. It was LBSU's first win against Stanford, which had won the three previous meetings. The Cardinal are 57-10 all-time against teams currently in the Big West Conference.
LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (AP) — Nebraska had big leads slip away in both halves but still wound up victorious.
Glynn Watson Jr. scored 26 points and Nebraska hung on after nearly blowing a 22-point lead to beat Long Beach State 85-80 Sunday in the fifth-place game at the Advocare Invitational.
"He's a disruptive force," Long Beach head coach Dan Monson said of Watson. "It's almost like Richard Sherman on defense. You don't want to challenge him."
LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (AP) — Deishaun Booker had 14 points, 12 assists and five rebounds to lead Long Beach State to a 74-69 win against Oregon State at the Advocare Invitational on Friday.
The two teams played last Saturday with Oregon State winning 89-81 at home.

LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) — Dan Monson never spent much time scouting Lagerald Vick in preparing to play Kansas.
It wound up being a big mistake.

"That's what makes Kansas so good. (Vick) was not one we were focused on," Monson said, shaking his head. "He just opened up the game with his shooting."
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Once UCLA got going, there was no stopping the Bruins.
T.J. Leaf scored 21 points and fellow freshman Lonzo Ball added 20 in 16th-ranked UCLA's 114-77 victory over Long Beach State on Sunday night.
"If we hit a couple early, we can get really hot," said Bryce Alford, who finished with 15 points. "We become really hard to guard because guys get in a rhythm."
