Timbers get 1-1 road draw against Revolution
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — Lawrence Olum tied it in the 70th minute and the Portland Timbers held on for a 1-1 draw with the New England Revolution on Saturday night.
Olum leveled it for Portland (11-7-8) with a right-footed stab at Julio Cascante's redirection of David Guzman's corner.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Diego Chara scored his first goal of the season in the 64th minute and the Portland Timbers went on to snap a four-game losing streak with a 2-0 victory over short-handed Toronto FC on Wednesday night.
Portland's skid, which followed a 15-game unbeaten streak, was the Timbers' longest since they lost five straight in July 2012.
Chara scored his last goal in March 2017 and has eight goals since joining the team its inaugural MLS year in 2011.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Diego Valeri and Dairon Asprilla each scored on a penalty kick, and the Portland Timbers extended their unbeaten streak to 15 games with a 3-0 victory over the Philadelphia Union on Saturday night.
Portland improved to 10-0-5 since its last loss on April 8 at Orlando. The undefeated run matches the club's MLS record of 15 games set in 2013.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Anibal Godoy headed David Guzman's free kick into his own net in the 77th minute, giving Costa Rica a 1-0 victory over Panama on Wednesday night and a berth in the CONCACAF Gold Cup semifinals.
Guzman took a free kick from about 35 yards out, and the ball swerved slightly and went off the side of Godoy's head and past goalkeeper Jose Calderon for an own goal.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Diego Valeri scored twice and David Guzman got the game-winner as the Portland Timbers beat the Houston Dynamo 4-2 Saturday night.
Fanendo Adi also scored for Portland and Jake Gleeson finished with four saves.
"I just thought we played with a real edge, a real ruthlessness that I've been wanting to see, and we showed that," Portland coach Caleb Porter said. "I'm real pleased, obviously, with that second half."
