Georgia’s Smart says Kindley improving, could play vs. LSU
ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — Left guard Solomon Kindley participated in practice Tuesday for No. 2 Georgia and hasn't been ruled out for Saturday's game at No. 13 LSU.
Kindley was carted off the field with a right knee injury early in last week's blowout win over Vanderbilt. He has a mild sprain of his medial collateral ligament, but seems to be improving.
No. 3 Georgia starters Thompson, Godwin return from injuries
ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — Two key starters, defensive tackle Trenton Thompson and wide receiver Terry Godwin, have returned to practice for No. 3 Georgia in its bye week.
Thompson has missed two games with a right knee injury. Godwin left last Saturday's 53-28 win over Missouri with injured ribs.
Also, outside linebacker Davin Bellamy has shed the club he wore to protect a broken bone in his left hand.
Barkley equalizer gives Everton 2-2 draw at Hull in EPL
HULL, England (AP) — Ross Barkley headed a late equalizer to earn Everton a 2-2 draw with struggling Hull in the English Premier League on Friday.
Hull captain Michael Dawson gave his side a sixth-minute lead, only for an own-goal by goalkeeper David Marshall in first-half injury time to make it all square.
Robert Snodgrass restored Hull's lead with a superb free kick in the 65th minute, but Barkley pounced with six minutes left to earn his side a point.
