FAIRFIELD — Greenfield Hill Congregational Church, 1045 Old Academy Road, Fairfield, will host the talk “Russian Christianity and the Revolution of 1917” from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, in the church sanctuary. The talk is free and will be given by David McFadden, a professor of history and director of Russian and East European studies at Fairfield University. His new project on the “Meaning and Legacies of the Russian Revolutions of 1917” is among the winners of the fall 2017 grant competition sponsored by the Humanities Institute of the College of Arts and Sciences at Fairfield University.
