WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. (AP) — Ray Salnave, who put the game in jeopardy with a late turnover, immediately redeemed himself by hitting a short floater with 1.1 seconds left that lifted Monmouth to an 83-81 win over Iona on Sunday.
Salnave, who coughed up the ball against the Iona full-court pressure that quickly turned into Rickey McGill's tying 3-pointer with 13.3 seconds remaining, waited as time wound down before driving into the lane and floating a shot over a defender and off the glass.

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. (AP) — Ray Salnave scored 17 points with a trio of 3-pointers and had three steals as Monmouth ran away from Fairfield 74-57 Thursday night, winning its third straight.
Deion Hammond added 16 points and four 3-pointers for Monmouth (5-14, 4-2 Metro Atlantic Athletic Association) and Diago Quinn 15 points and eight rebounds. The Hawks, who started the season with 12 straight losses, are 5-2 since breaking into the win column against Penn in overtime.

LOUDOUNVILLE, N.Y. (AP) — Deion Hammond scored 16 points, Diago Quinn and Ray Salnave each scored 14 and Monmouth beat Siena 63-60 in overtime on Monday night.
Nick Rutherford made a pair of free throws 65 seconds into overtime and the Hawks (4-14, 3-2 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) led the rest of the way. Kevin Degnan's 3-pointer brought Siena within 61-60 with two minutes left but the Saints missed their last two shots and a pair of free throws.

HAMDEN, Conn. (AP) — Cameron Young scored 33 points, making 13 of 16 free throws, and Quinnipiac defeated Monmouth 89-83 in double overtime on Thursday night.
Leading by three points with six seconds remaining in the second OT, Quinnipiac fouled and put Ray Salnave on the line. He made both to leave Monmouth behind 84-83. Monmouth in turn fouled Young. He missed the first and made the second for a two-point lead.

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. (AP) — Micah Seaborn made a pair of free throws with 5.0 seconds left on Friday night and Monmouth survived a final shot attempt for a 79-78 season-opening win over Bucknell.
