LOS ANGELES (AP) — Here's a little ditty 'bout John and Meg.
Singer John Mellencamp and actress Meg Ryan are getting married.
The 56-year-old announced her engagement to the 67-year-old musician on Instagram . "ENGAGED!" is what she wrote. The post included a drawing of what appears to be the two holding hands. He's also holding a guitar.

Ex-movie gunslingers Quaid and Kilmer to visit Tombstone
TOMBSTONE, Ariz. (AP) — Dennis Quaid and Val Kilmer are heading back to the Wild West.
The actors, who both portrayed gunslinger Doc Holliday on screen, will take part this weekend in the town of Tombstone's annual "Doc Holli-Days" event.
The historic mining town is the site of the infamous 1881 shootout involving Holliday and Wyatt Earp. It remains a popular tourist attraction with gunfight reenactments occurring almost daily.

Actor Dennis Quaid will share his rock-star side when he and his band, The Sharks, entertain at Ridgefield Playhouse, performing such classics as “Gloria” and “Spill the Wine” on Wednesday, Oct. 25.
The band has a classic rock/country/soul sound and does originals, as well as covers by a variety of artists, from The Doors to Jerry Lee Lewis. Quaid, 63, portrayed Lewis in the 1989 film, “Great Balls of Fire!”

‘A Dog’s Purpose’ opens to $18.4 million amid controversy
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Opening in theaters amid controversy over animal treatment on set and calls for a boycott, "A Dog's Purpose" still managed to earn $18.4 million, according to studio estimates Sunday.
Tracking expectations had pegged the family film to open in the mid $20-million range, but it had a healthy debut nonetheless for a movie that cost only $22 million to produce.
