SAN ANTONIO (AP) — The San Antonio Spurs mobbed Rudy Gay after his game-winning shot against Phoenix, but that celebration got a cold dose of reality once they hit the locker room.
Gay hit a 21-foot jumper at the buzzer and the Spurs overcame Devin Booker's 38 points to escape with a 126-124 victory Tuesday night, extending the Suns' losing streak to nine games.

PHOENIX (AP) — It took a while, but the Portland Trail Blazers finally did what they were supposed to do with the depleted Phoenix Suns.
Damian Lillard scored 24 points, CJ McCollum and Jake Layman added 20 apiece and the Trail Blazers pulled away in the second half to hand the Suns their sixth straight loss, 120-106 on Thursday night.
The Trail Blazers beat Phoenix for the ninth straight time. Portland has won four of five and eight of 11 overall.

NEW YORK (AP) — Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker has been fined $25,000 for escalating an on-court altercation by pushing Minnesota Timberwolves center Gorgui Dieng in the face.
NBA discipline executive Kiki VanDeWeghe handed down the fine Thursday.
It stems from an incident that occurred Tuesday night in the third quarter of the Timberwolves' 118-91 win over the Suns.
Kelly Oubre bringing energy, defense _ and style _ to Suns
PHOENIX (AP) — In less than a month in Phoenix, Kelly Oubre Jr. is bringing energy, defense and scoring — not to mention style — to the perennial last-place Suns.
Teammate Devin Booker said there's no use trying to top Oubre when it comes to the way he dresses away from the game.
"That's the fashion king, man," Booker said after the Suns practiced Monday. "I just stay out of the way."

Joel Embiid, playing despite a sore left knee, matched his season high with 42 points, 30 in the first half, and grabbed 18 rebounds and the Philadelphia 76ers blew most of a 30-point lead before holding on to beat the Phoenix Suns 132-127 on Wednesday night.
Curry’s 34 points help Warriors scorch Suns, 132-109
PHOENIX (AP) — The Golden State Warriors needed until midway through the second quarter to find their rhythm against the West's last-place team.
Once they did, the NBA champions rolled to victory again.
Stephen Curry scored 34 points and Kevin Durant added 25, leading the Warriors over the Phoenix Suns 132-109 on Monday night.
The Warriors beat the Suns for the 17th straight time, including eight in a row in Phoenix.
Golden State (25-13) was 14 for 28 on 3-pointers, with Curry going 5 of 9.
Westbrook scores 40, Thunder pull away to beat Suns
PHOENIX (AP) — For three quarters on Friday night, the improving Phoenix Suns gave Oklahoma City everything it could handle.

Booker, a third-year guard, had 35 points, eight assists and seven rebounds as Phoenix defeated the Orlando Magic 122-120 in overtime Wednesday night.
Booker was the spark as Phoenix won for the fifth time in seven games.
T.J. Warren added 24 points, including all four Phoenix points in overtime. Kelly Oubre Jr. scored had 19 points and Josh Jackson added 10 for Phoenix.
Beal gets 1st triple-double, Wizards beat Suns 149-146, 3OT
WASHINGTON (AP) — Bradley Beal had 40 points and his first career triple-double to lift the Washington Wizards over the Phoenix Suns 149-146 in triple-overtime Saturday night.
With All-Star point guard John Wall sidelined due to illness, Beal scored 10 points in the third overtime, including a slicing layup that made it 146-144 with 40 seconds to play. He also had a career-high 15 assists and 11 rebounds.
