ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Michigan cornerback David Long and tight end Zach Gentry are entering the NFL draft, skipping their final seasons of college eligibility.
Long and Gentry made their announcements Wednesday on social media .

Michigan adjusts to decisions by 4 to skip Peach Bowl
ATLANTA (AP) — Michigan probably will need more than one running back to replace Karan Higdon in Saturday's Peach Bowl against Florida.
The leadership void left by Higdon's exit may be even more difficult to fill.
"Karan was our guy, our offensive leader, and we all kind of followed him," quarterback Shea Patterson said Thursday of Higdon, the team's leading rusher and offensive captain.
Michigan’s Bushell-Beatty to miss Peach Bowl against Florida
ATLANTA (AP) — Michigan right tackle Juwann Bushell-Beatty has become the Wolverines' fourth draft-eligible player to pull out of Saturday's Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl against No. 10 Florida.
Michigan spokesman Dave Ablauf confirmed to The Associated Press that Bushell-Beatty, a fifth-year senior, elected to miss the game.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Michigan running back Karan Higdon says he'll skip the Peach Bowl.
Higdon, a senior who has rushed for 1,178 yards this season, said on Instagram on Thursday that it is in his best interests to miss the game to prepare to pursue an NFL career.
The eighth-ranked Wolverines face 10th-ranked Florida in the Peach Bowl in Atlanta on Dec. 29.

The conference on Tuesday announced half its postseason awards based on voting by coaches and media. Fitzgerald led the Wildcats (8-4) to the West Division title after going winless in nonconference play and losing several starters to injuries.
Michigan DE Rashan Gary entering draft, skipping senior year
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Rashan Gary is entering the NFL draft and skipping his senior season at Michigan.
The standout defensive end made the announcement Monday on YouTube.
"I would like to thank my higher power, my family, the University of Michigan and the students and the fans," Gary said. "But I will be foregoing my senior season to make a dream come true to declare for the draft. Thank you and go blue."
Allen, Bush, White among 5 linebackers up for Butkus Award
Josh Allen of Kentucky and Devin Bush of Michigan are among the five finalists for the Butkus Award, which goes to the nation's best linebacker.
The other finalists announced Monday were Tre Lamar of Clemson, Dylan Moses of Alabama and Devin White of LSU. The winner will be announced Dec. 6.
Williams, Allen, Delpit give SEC 3 Nagurski Trophy finalists
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Alabama nose tackle Quinnen Williams, Kentucky linebacker Josh Allen and LSU safety Grant Delpit give the Southeastern Conference three of the five finalists for the Bronko Nagurski Trophy given to the nation's top defensive player.
The other finalists announced Wednesday were Michigan linebacker Devin Bush and Clemson defensive tackle Christian Wilkins.

EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Mark Dantonio is letting Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh have the last word after Saturday's dustup.
The Michigan State coach opened his news conference Tuesday saying he was done talking about the pregame flap when several Wolverine players on the field were caught up in the Spartans' traditional stadium walk. Dantonio then tried to direct attention to Michigan State's game this Saturday against Purdue.

Ann Arbor — When Michigan assistant coach Chris Partridge changed coaching assignments this offseason from linebackers to safeties, he submerged himself in the process, learning as much as possible by studying film and consulting with coaches from smaller schools to the NFL.
