The Tigers (13-13, 10-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) won their ninth straight and extended their lead in the conference standings above the Aggies (15-11, 8-3), their closest challenger.
Khalen Pinkett's dunk with 1:04 left capped a 6-0 run and made it 107-101 for the Tigers.
Savannah State beats South Carolina State 111-99
SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — Dexter McClanahan had 23 points, 10 rebounds and five assists Saturday night and Savannah State powered past South Carolina State 111-99 for the Tigers' seventh straight win.
Savannah State (11-13, 8-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) pushed its lead into double digits for good with a 13-4 run that made it 84-70 with 9:41 left.
The Tigers maintained a half-game lead over North Carolina A&T (7-1) in the conference standings.

SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — Dexter McClanahan had a career-high 37 points and Savannah State held off Norfolk State in overtime for a 104-99 win on Monday night.
The Tigers (8-13, 5-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) scored the opening basket of overtime and led the rest of the way. McClanahan's free throws with 20 seconds left solidified the lead at 102-97 and Jahir Cabeza punctuated their fourth straight conference win on a dunk with six seconds to go.
Savannah State holds off Hampton from the line, wins 103-101
SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — Zach Sellers hit two key free throws with 11 seconds left and Javaris Jenkins added a third four seconds later as Savannah State held on win its fourth Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference game in four starts, topping Hampton 103-101 Saturday night.

BALTIMORE (AP) — Tiwian Kendley made a go-ahead floater with 6.4 seconds remaining and Morgan State beat Savannah State 89-88 on Monday night.
Zach Sellers made a basket with 5:31 remaining to give Savannah State an 86-83 lead but the Tigers didn't make another field goal the rest of the way. Alante Fenner and Ralueke Orizu each went 1 of 2 at the line to make it 88-83 at the 4:12 mark.
Savannah St. downs feisty Coppin St. 80-71 behind Jenkins

Savannah State holds off Alabama State rally, 101-97
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — Dexter McClanahan scored 17 points off the bench with four 3-pointers, Isaiah Felder and Alante Fenner added 16 apiece, and Savannah State held off Alabama State 101-97 in the mainland edition of the Cayman Islands Challenge on Tuesday night.
The Tigers (2-4) led 45-36 at halftime, but Alabama State (0-6) surged out of the break with a 61-point second half.
Fenner was 10 of 10 at the foul line as Savannah State converted 24 of 34 on two dozen Alabama State fouls.
Gregory, Spears help Jacksonville State to 86-71 victory
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — Jamall Gregory scored 23 points and Ashton Spears posted a double-double and Jacksonville State defeated Savannah State 86-71 on Monday.
Gregory was 9-of-14 shooting with three 3-pionters and four blocks. Spears had 10 points and 11 rebounds. Four other Gamecocks score in double figures: Nobertas Giga had 14, Malcolm Drumwright scored 13 in surpassing 1,000 career points, and Maurice Dunlap and Christian Cunningham added 12 each.
Bartley, Washington lead Louisiana past Savannah St. 115-82
LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) — Frank Bartley scored 21 points, Bryce Washington had 21 points, surpassing 1,000 for his career, and 15 rebounds and Louisiana cruised to a 115-82 victory over Savannah State on Friday.

SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — Robert Kelly scored 26 points on perfect shooting and Savannah State snapped a two-game losing streak with a 104-91 win over Bethune-Cookman in the MEAC opener for both teams Wednesday night.
Kelly finished 11 for 11 from the field and added a team-best 11 rebounds. Troyce Manassa finished with 22 points and eight rebounds while Dexter McClanahan added 18 points for the Tigers (4-10, 1-0), who shot 48.6 percent and topped the 100-point mark for the fourth time this year.

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) — T.J. Cromer scored a career-high 30 points and East Tennessee State rebounded from a loss to Tennessee by walloping Savannah State 92-71 Thursday night.
The Bucs opened the game with a dunk from Hanner Mosquera-Perea and never trailed. Mosquera-Perea finished with 13 points, two blocked shots and eight rebounds for ETSU (10-3). Devontavius Payne hit a season-high five 3-pointers and finished with 17 points, A.J. Merriweather added 11 points with five steals.
Kelly leads Savannah St. past Oregon St. 93-90 in overtime
CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) — Savannah State suffered a blowout loss in its last game, but came out with a different mindset on Sunday.
"We came out with a lot more energy," said freshman forward Robert Kelly Jr. "We came out with a passion to win."
Kelly had career highs of 24 points and nine rebounds as Savannah State held off Oregon State 93-90 in overtime on Sunday.
Joshua Floyd had 14 points and seven rebounds and Dexter McClanahan added 12 points for the Tigers (3-8).
Cheatham, Shrigley lead Aztecs to 100-67 victory vs Tigers
SAN DIEGO (AP) — With San Diego State leading Savannah State 99-65 with a minute left, the Aztecs' student section started chanting "One more point!"
They got it when Valentine Izundu made the front end of a one-and-one with 46 seconds left to finish off a 100-67 victory.
"We did what we were supposed to do and we did it in nice fashion," San Diego State coach Steve Fisher said.
Mitchell makes 6 3s, Grambling State beats Savannah State
NICEVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Ervin Mitchell made six 3-pointers and scored 36 points — both career highs — and Averyl Ugba had 17 points and 16 rebounds to help Grambling State beat Savannah State 110-104 on Saturday in the Emerald Coast Classic.
Mitchell scored 21 points in the second half and Ugba has totaled 43 points and 36 rebounds in his last two games. Grambling State lost to UT Rio Grande 101-93 in overtime on Friday.
Sanabria lifts St. Francis Brooklyn to win over Savannah
DESTIN, Fla. (AP) — Glenn Sanabria hit five 3-pointers for a career-high 28 points, freshman Rasheem Dunn added a career-high 20 points and St. Francis Brooklyn defeated Savannah State 97-91 on Friday in the semifinals of the Visitor's bracket of the Emerald Coast Classic.

Wells’ 9 3-pointers and 27 points paces Savannah State
SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — Casey Wells drilled nine 3-pointers, accounting for all of his game-high 27 points, and Savannah State won a 118-101 shootout with SIAC member Fort Valley State on Monday night.
The Tigers (2-3) nailed 23 total three pointers and shot 51.1 percent from deep on the night, including four by Dexter McClanahan and three more from Isaiah Felder. McClanahan finished with 18 points while Troyce Manassa and Austin Dasent each added 14 for Savannah State.
Dedric Lawson, Randall lead Memphis to victory, 99-86
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Dedric Lawson and Craig Randall scored 21 points each for Memphis in a 99-86 victory over Savannah State on Saturday.
Lawson also grabbed 10 rebounds for his 20th double-double. K.J. Lawson, Dedric's older brother, and Markel Crawford added 14 points each.
