NEW YORK (AP) — A man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for the fatal stabbing of actor Morgan Freeman's step-granddaughter in New York City.
Prosecutors say 33-year-old Lamar Davenport stabbed his girlfriend E'Dena Hines multiple times while under the influence of alcohol and drugs in August 2015.
Davenport issued an apology during his sentencing hearing Thursday, and said, "I don't remember what happened."
LOS ANGELES (AP) — The release of "Deadpool 2" this weekend ended "Avengers: Infinity War's" three week stronghold on the top spot at the box office. 20th Century Fox's "Deadpool 2" grossed $125.5 million in its first weekend in theaters, slightly less than the first film's record-breaking $132.4 million launch.
Jane Fonda said recently that "Book Club" was the most fun she's ever had making a movie. She was ostensibly talking about getting to know her castmates — namely Diane Keaton, Candice Bergen and Mary Steenburgen — but may also have been referring to the wine. There is lots and lots of fine wine in "Book Club" — in fact, it seems like nobody's allowed to have a conversation after 4 p.m. without an oversized glass of Chardonnay.

Diane Keaton thinks Chris Martin is "gorgeous" - but didn't know who he was when they met.
The 72-year-old actress has a crush on the Coldplay frontman after meeting him and his girlfriend, Dakota Johnson, at talk show host Ellen DeGeneres' 60th birthday party, and she believes his looks have improved in recent years.
She said: "I'm going to talk about Chris Martin. He was with Dakota, they're a couple. Got it? He's gorgeous.
Judd Apatow has criticized Diane Keaton for defending Woody Allen - amid the backlash he faces over claims he sexually assaulted his daughter when she was a child.
The 50-year-old filmmaker is furious that Keaton, who starred in the 82-year-old director's movies 'Sleeper' and 'Love and Death', is supporting her "friend" who he believes is guilty of molesting his daughter Dylan Farrow.
Ellen DeGeneres is well known for her endless energy dancing up and down the aisles of her TV show studios, headlining numerous Hollywood award shows, and her frequent charity work and performances. In her spare time, DeGeneres is also the No. 1 celebrity home flipper, leaving her competitors such as Jennifer Aniston, Meg Ryan and Diane Keaton in the leftover construction dust.
Jennifer Lopez feared she would be "alone forever" after splitting from Marc Anthony.
The 48-year-old singer-and-actress split from her third husband - the father of her nine-year-old twins Max and Emme - in July 2011 and the "hard time" motivated her to buy a house in the Hamptons so her kids would always want to come back to her.
