They signed free-agent wide receiver Rishard Matthews, who was released by Tennessee last month after requesting the move because he felt he was being underused. He had three catches for 11 yards in three games.

NEW YORK (AP) — The Jets could be without two of their top playmakers on offense and defense for a while.
Safety Marcus Maye has a broken right thumb that could sideline him for a few weeks, and leading wide receiver Quincy Enunwa has a sprained right ankle.
Maye was injured in the third quarter of New York's 42-34 win over Indianapolis on Sunday. He was seen wearing a cast on his right hand after the game.

Cornerback Buster Skrine has been ruled out for Sunday with a concussion. Fellow cornerback Trumaine Johnson is listed Friday as doubtful with a quadriceps injury that sidelined him last Sunday against Denver.
Rookie Parry Nickerson could fill Skrine's nickel spot, while Darryl Roberts and Rashard Robinson could see time in the base defense in Johnson's place.
Browns missing starting LB Kirksey for matchup with Jets
CLEVELAND (AP) — Browns starting linebacker Christian Kirksey will sit out Thursday night's game against the New York Jets with an ankle injury.
One of Cleveland's captains, Kirksey also missed last week's game at New Orleans, the first time he sat out a game in his NFL career after playing in 65 straight. James Burgess will start for Kirksey as the Browns try to snap a 19-game winless streak.

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — New York Jets starting safety Marcus Maye is doubtful to play in the team's game Thursday night against the Cleveland Browns because of a foot injury.
Maye has not played in a regular-season game because of the ailment. The Jets have not specified the nature of the injury. Maye had arthroscopic ankle surgery in the offseason, but this latest injury is unrelated.
Doug Middleton has filled in for Maye in the starting lineup and ranks fourth on the team with 11 tackles.
Jets’ Kearse appears ready to play, Maye doubtful
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — New York Jets wide receiver Jermaine Kearse practiced fully for the third straight day and appears ready to play after sitting out the season opener with an abdominal injury.
Kearse was hurt during training camp and needed surgery but has made a quick recovery. He was the Jets' leading receiver last season with 65 catches. Kearse says he's feeling good, but coach Todd Bowles would not yet confirm that the receiver will play against the Dolphins on Sunday.

The Jets also announced Saturday that wide receiver Jermaine Kearse (abdomen) and safety Marcus Maye (foot) are doubtful to play.
With Martin sidelined, New York promoted rookie outside linebacker Frankie Luvu from the practice squad and waived fullback Lawrence Thomas.

NEW YORK (AP) — The New York Jets have tendered wide receiver Quincy Enunwa at the second-round level, worth $2.9 million.
Enunwa was a restricted free agent after missing last season with a bulging disk in his neck that required surgery. He had a breakout season in 2016, catching 58 passes for 857 yards and four touchdowns.
Jets acquire S Brooks from Eagles for CB McDougle
NEW YORK (AP) — The New York Jets acquired safety Terrence Brooks from the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday for cornerback Dexter McDougle in a trade of 2014 draft picks.

Jets sign safety Therezie, waive fullback Brown
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — The New York Jets have signed safety Robenson Therezie and waived fullback Algernon Brown.
Therezie was waived by New Orleans on Saturday after playing in the Saints' 20-14 preseason-opening loss to Cleveland on Thursday night. He was originally signed by Atlanta as an undrafted free agent out of Auburn in 2015.
Jets waive/injured Antonio Allen, promote Freddie Bishop
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — The New York Jets have waived/injured safety Antonio Allen and signed linebacker Freddie Bishop from the practice squad.
Allen had been ruled out against San Francisco on Sunday with a concussion after being injured during New York's 41-10 loss to Indianapolis last Monday night.
