Juventus winger Douglas Costa unhurt after car crash
TURIN, Italy (AP) — Juventus and Brazil winger Douglas Costa has escaped unhurt after he was involved in a car crash.
The incident occurred on Monday on a motorway in northern Italy as Douglas Costa was returning to Turin.
His Jeep was involved in a collision with a Fiat Punto, and the driver of that car was taken to hospital for minor injuries.
Ronaldo misses penalty but Juventus beats Chievo 3-0
MILAN (AP) — Cristiano Ronaldo had a penalty saved but it mattered little as Juventus beat last-placed Chievo Verona 3-0 to extend its advantage in Serie A on Monday.

Brazil recall Jesus for friendlies vs Argentina and Saudis
RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) — Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus has been recalled by Brazil for friendlies against Saudi Arabia and Argentina in October.
Coach Tite announced his squad on Friday, with three new faces: Bordeaux defender Pablo, Hannover midfielder Wallace, and Barcelona striker Malcom. He also brought in under-21 goalkeeper Phelipe to give him international experience.
The friendlies will be in Saudi Arabia on Oct. 12 and 16.
Juventus’ Douglas Costa banned 4 games for spitting incident
TURIN, Italy (AP) — Juventus winger Douglas Costa has been banned for four Serie A matches after a spitting incident on Sunday.
The Brazil international was sent off near the end of Juventus' 2-1 win over Sassuolo after he spat at midfielder Federico Di Francesco. Costa had also raised an elbow at the same player and attempted a head-butt.
The Italian soccer federation announced his ban Tuesday, with the winger set to miss matches against Frosinone, Bologna, Napoli and Udinese.

US forward Julian Green leaving Bayern Munich for Stuttgart
MUNICH (AP) — United States forward Julian Green is leaving Bayern Munich and switching to second-division club Stuttgart.
The 21-year-old Green, whose contract was to run through next June, will leave Bayern during the Bundesliga's winter break for a contract through June 2019 with Stuttgart, the Bavarian club said Wednesday.
