North Florida win on road, top Charleston Southern 76-70
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Noah Horchler dunked with 17 seconds left to seal North Florida's 76-70 win at Charleston Southern on Saturday night.
The victory snapped a string of five straight road losses for the Ospreys, whose last road win was at NJIT in the Atlantic Sun tournament in February.
Duncan LeXander pulled Charleston Southern within three, 73-70 with a free throw with 1:09 left, but Horchler grabbed a pass from J.T. Escobar and slammed it home to put the game out of reach.
Keeling’s triple-double helps Charleston Southern win 93-67
SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — Christian Keeling notched a triple-double — the first in three decades for Charleston Southern — as he, Duncan LeXander and Deontaye Buskey combined for 63 points and the Buccaneers surged away from Coppin State 93-67 Friday.
Charleston Southern beats Trinity Baptist 98-49
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Freshman Timmy Sellers scored all 15 of his points in the first half, Dontrell Shuler added 12 points and Charleston Southern never trailed in beating Trinity Baptist 98-49 on Monday night.
Duncan LeXander scored 12 points and Travis McConico had 11 points and five assists for the Buccaneers (3-2), who shot 56 percent and outrebounded the Eagles 30-16. Christian Keeling and Jamir Moore scored 10 apiece.
