Kane had a hat trick, Brandon Saad scored twice and Chicago beat the Minnesota Wild 5-2 on Thursday night for its fourth victory in five games.
Kane completed his fifth career regular-season hat trick and first since March 2017 by scoring into an empty net with 26.9 seconds left. He leads the Blackhawks with 20 goals and 47 points, and has five goals and five assists during a six-game point streak.
Connor scores twice for Jets, Blackhawks drop 8th straight
WINNIPEG, Manitoba (AP) — Kyle Connor wasn't too disappointed about falling short of his first career hat trick.
The third-year forward scored twice as the Winnipeg Jets beat Chicago 6-3 on Tuesday night to give the Blackhawks their eighth straight loss.

Strome, Perlini join Blackhawks after trade with Coyotes
CHICAGO (AP) — Dylan Strome and Brendan Perlini got right to work with the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday.
Strome and Perlini made it to Chicago in time to join their new team for practice after they were acquired Sunday night in a trade with Arizona. The Blackhawks sent Nick Schmaltz to the Coyotes for Strome and Perlini in a swap of former first-round draft picks.

CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago Blackhawks traded Nick Schmaltz to the Arizona Coyotes on Sunday night for Dylan Strome and Brendan Perlini in a swap involving three former first-round picks.
Schmaltz is off to a slow start with two goals and nine assists in 23 games, but he is just 22 years old and coming off a breakout season. He was selected by Chicago with the 20th pick in the 2014 draft.

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Nick Cousins and company took a deep breath.

Cousins scored in the shootout, Antti Raanta made 23 saves and the Arizona Coyotes beat the Anaheim Ducks 3-2 on Wednesday night for their first win.
Dylan Strome and Brad Richardson scored for Arizona (1-2), which dropped its first 11 games last season.
"It's huge. Because of what happened last year it is a big relief," Cousins said. "I think it relieves some pressure."

Connauton has 10 goals in 30 games since the All-Star break, tying him with Tampa Bay's Victor Hedman for most among defenseman since Jan. 28. The 28-year-old had just one goal in the first 42 games this year.

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — The Arizona Coyotes recalled center Dylan Strome from the Tucson Roadrunners on Sunday and assigned forward Mario Kempe to the American Hockey League team,
The 20-year-old Strome, the No. 3 overall pick in 2015, had eight goals and 18 assists in 15 games for Tucson. He had points in his last season games and is second in the AHL with 1.73 points per game.
Strome was scoreless in two games for Arizona this season and has an assist in nine career NHL games.
As Dylan Strome listed the Erie Otters' accomplishments over the past few years and the talented players to come out of the junior program, the Arizona Coyotes' top prospect quickly gave credit to Kris Knoblauch, the coach who made it happen.
"He'll be in the NHL in no time," Strome said recently.

WINDSOR, Ontario (AP) — Dylan Strome had a tournament-record seven points and Taylor Raddysh added two goals and four assists and the Erie Otters routed the Saint John Sea Dogs 12-5 on Monday at the Memorial Cup.
Strome's seven-point outing (four goals, three assists) broke the tournament single-game record of six, which had been reached four times. The most recent was Mike Mathers in 1992.

Hutton scores on penalty shot in OT, Canucks top Coyotes 3-2
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — Ben Hutton had a number of thoughts in his head as he snaked his way toward Arizona Coyotes goalie Louis Domingue.
Hutton scored on a penalty shot at 2:34 of overtime to lift the Vancouver Canucks to a 3-2 victory over the Coyotes on Thursday night.
"There was a lot going through my mind," Hutton said. "I knew we needed this win."
Nine-game NHL tryouts create uncertainty for young players
Dylan Strome is living his NHL dream playing for the Arizona Coyotes, staying in a hotel and avoiding the harsh Pennsylvania winter he endured the past three years playing for the Ontario Hockey League's Erie Otters.
He just doesn't know how long it will last.
Strome was the No. 3 overall pick in 2015 and he is in hockey's version of purgatory: At 19, he is eligible to be sent back to the juniors without burning a year of his contract as long as he doesn't play 10 games.
