STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) — Mississippi State used a balanced scoring attack Saturday and a 20-4 run to open the second half en route to a 79-48 win over Florida A&M.
Nick Weatherspoon, Quinndary Weatherspoon, Lamar Peters and Abdul Ado all had 12 points to lead Mississippi State (2-0). Tyson Carter added 10 points.
Ado added eight rebounds and three blocks in his first collegiate action after redshirting last season.

Holman scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Mississippi State over Alabama State 96-68 in a season-opening win on Friday night. The 6-foot-10 forward tied a career high with the 18 points, making 6 of 11 shots from the field, including 2 of 4 from 3-point range.
