Gibbs, Evans picked as US Olympic women’s bobsled pushers
Lauren Gibbs and Aja Evans were picked Saturday as the push athletes who will join pilots Elana Meyers Taylor and Jamie Greubel Poser on the U.S. Olympic women's bobsled team.
Gibbs will be in Meyers Taylor's sled at the Pyeongchang Games. Evans will push for Greubel Poser, a combination that earned the U.S. a bronze medal at the Sochi Games four years ago — as well as a gold medal in a World Cup race at the Olympic track in South Korea last season.

Meyers Taylor edges Humphries for gold at bobsled worlds
KOENIGSSEE, Germany (AP) — Elana Meyers Taylor of the United States edged Olympic champion Kaillie Humphries of Canada for her second world championship gold in women's bobsled on Saturday.
Meyers, who won her first in 2015, and brakewoman Kehri Jones edged Humphries and Melissa Lotholz by 0.03 seconds after four runs.
Swiss driver Rico Peter wins 4-person World Cup bobsled gold
LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (AP) — Switzerland's Rico Peter drove to the win in Saturday's four-person World Cup bobsled race at Mount Van Hoevenberg, holding off the sled piloted by Steven Holcomb of the U.S.
Peter and his team finished in 1 minute, 48.31 seconds. Holcomb and his crew were second in 1:48.70 and the Canadian sled driven by Chris Spring was third in 1:48.71.
Peter's sled had the fasted time in both heats.
