KIEV, Ukraine (AP) — Australian Open quarterfinalist Elina Svitolina is in a dispute with the Ukrainian Tennis Federation and has withdrawn from her country's Fed Cup team.
Svitolina, who is ranked seventh in the world, says she can't play upcoming Fed Cup matches in Poland because she is injured. But the federation says she and Dayana Yastremska originally agreed to play but withdrew after their agent made unreasonable financial demands.

SINGAPORE (AP) — Elina Svitolina secured the biggest title of her career on Sunday, becoming the first Ukrainian player to win the season-ending WTA Finals trophy.
The No. 6-seeded Svitolina rebounded from a one-set deficit for a 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 win over fifth-seeded Sloane Stephens, the 2017 U.S. Open champion.
Svitolina fell onto her back on the court in celebration, and then shared a hug with Stephens.

SINGAPORE (AP) — Sloane Stephens overcame a terrible start against Karolina Pliskova to win 0-6, 6-4, 6-1 at the WTA Finals on Saturday, setting up a championship match against Elina Svitolina.

SINGAPORE (AP) — Caroline Wozniacki was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis before the U.S. Open, the Danish tennis player revealed at the WTA Finals on Thursday.

SINGAPORE (AP) — Defending champion Caroline Wozniacki earned her first victory at this year's WTA Finals, beating Petra Kvitova 7-5, 3-6, 6-2 on Tuesday.
Elina Svitolina earned her second straight win in the other group match, outlasting Karolina Pliskova 6-3, 2-6, 6-3. The results mean all four players are still in contention to advance to the semifinals from the White Group.

SINGAPORE (AP) — The Women's Tennis Association said Thursday that No. 1-ranked Simona Halep has withdrawn from the WTA Finals because of a lower back injury.
