The Appeals Court of Belgrade said Wednesday it has overturned suspended prison sentences for four suspects and confirmed an earlier acquittal of three more people by a lower court. The court says prosecutors have failed to provide enough evidence to back the indictment.

Police said the 10 were detained after a group of people on motorbikes threw red paint at the embassy's parking entrance at around 3:30 a.m. local time. An anarchist group known as Rouvikonas claimed responsibility for the attack in an internet post.

BERLIN (AP) — German police say more threatening letters containing a white powder — determined to be non-harmful — have been sent to the American and Israeli embassies in Berlin.
Police spokesman Martin Halweg said Tuesday letters were sent to both embassies on Aug. 22 and to the U.S. Embassy on Aug. 30. They contained a white powder that turned out to be washing detergent, and rambling letters.

The State Department said Wednesday the reward for information leading to the location, arrest or conviction of Abdullah Ahmed Abdullah (ahb-DUHL-lah AH-mehd ahb-DUHL-lah) and (SAFE el-AH-duhl) is now $10 million, up from $5 million offered since 2000.

NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) — Kenyans and Tanzanians on Tuesday marked the 20th anniversary of the al-Qaida bombings of the U.S. embassies in their countries that killed more than 250 people, with hundreds of local survivors calling on the U.S. government for compensation.
The explosions on Aug. 7, 1998, were the first major al-Qaida attack on U.S. targets. Nearly 5,000 people were injured.

The embassy wrote on Twitter Thursday that the @usembassyta account had been changed to "@USEmbassyJerusalem." The correct account handle is @USEmbassyjlm.
The embassy has yet to change its account's backdrop from the Tel Aviv coastline to Jerusalem, saying it is "still looking for a suitable header photo."
