Raiders place OL Gabe Jackson on IR with elbow injury
ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) — The Oakland Raiders have placed starting right guard Gabe Jackson on injured reserve with an elbow injury.
The Raiders also promoted defensive back Rico Gafford and defensive tackle Gabe Wright from the practice squad and waived linebacker Emmanuel Lamur on Tuesday.
Jackson hurt his elbow late in a win over Pittsburgh on Dec. 9. He missed last week's game at Cincinnati and now will be out for the final two games of the season as well.

Raiders sign free agent LB Emmanuel Lamur
ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) — The Oakland Raiders have signed free agent linebacker Emmanuel Lamur.
The Raiders announced the deal on Wednesday to add depth at linebacker and special teams.
Lamur has played 71 games over six seasons with Cincinnati and Minnesota. He was with the Bengals from 2012-15 when current Raiders defensive coordinator Paul Guenther was linebackers coach and coordinator.

With tight end Kyle Rudolph and left tackle Riley Reiff nursing ankle injuries, the Minnesota Vikings likely will be down two offensive starters Sunday against Cincinnati.
Rudolph and Reiff both were hurt last weekend at Carolina and listed Friday as doubtful for the game at U.S. Bank Stadium.
The Vikings also listed cornerback Mackensie Alexander (ribs) as out and linebacker Emmanuel Lamur (foot) as questionable.
Vikings linebacker Emmanuel Lamur is still served well by time with the Bengals
Vikings linebacker Emmanuel Lamur spent four seasons in Cincinnati, the first two under Mike Zimmer, who was defensive coordinator then. The Bengals made the playoffs both of those seasons.
Sunday the Vikings are facing a Bengals squad that recently played very well against the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are tied for the best record in the NFL. But the Bengals lost to the Bears 33-7 last week, and they are missing five starters on defense.
Vikings LB Barr held out of practice with hamstring injury
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr has a hamstring injury that has kept him out of practice, jeopardizing his availability for the upcoming game at Pittsburgh in a shortened week.
Barr watched the team's workout on the field on Thursday, sidelined for a second straight day. The Vikings play the Steelers on Sunday.
With 3-way competition, Vikings’ 3rd LB won’t be overlooked
MANKATO, Minn. (AP) — The demise of the third linebacker in Minnesota's defense, and that of every other NFL team in a 4-3 scheme, has not been exaggerated.
With the nickel package now in majority control of the playbook, thanks to the prevalence of passing attacks dominating the league these days, the third cornerback is more of a starter. The base defense might only be employed 30 or 40 percent of the time.
MANKATO — For 17 straight NFL seasons, Mike Zimmer has called defensive plays. But the Vikings head coach might cede that role to defensive coordinator George Edwards in order to focus more on other areas of the game.
Zimmer admitted Friday it will be a difficult decision, although he didn't elaborate.
