LAS VEGAS (AP) — A'ja Wilson had 18 of her 19 points in the first half, Kayla McBride scored all 15 of her points in the fourth quarter and the Las Vegas Aces beat the short-handed New York Liberty 85-72 on Wednesday night to move into a tie for the final playoff spot.
Las Vegas (14-18) and Dallas are tied for eighth — with a series meeting Friday in Texas. The Wings own the tiebreaker.
UNCASVILLE, Conn. (AP) — Shavonte Zellous banked in a 3-pointer at the buzzer to lift the New York Liberty past the Connecticut Sun 79-76 on Wednesday.
Tina Charles led New York with 19 points and 11 rebounds, Epiphanny Prince scored 15 and Zellous finished with 14.
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (AP) — Skylar Diggins-Smith had 32 points, seven rebounds and five assists to help the Dallas Wings beat the New York Liberty 97-87 on Sunday.
The Wings (10-8) had their largest lead at 88-65 on Allisha Gray's 3-pointer with 6:27 left in the game. Dallas still led by 20 with three minutes to go before the Liberty (5-14) closed the game on a 15-5 run.
Liz Cambage added 19 points and 12 rebounds for the Wings, who won their third straight. Gray scored 15 and Azura Stevens had 13.
Mystics pull away to beat Liberty 86-67
WASHINGTON (AP) — Elena Delle Donne scored 11 of her 21 points in the fourth quarter to help the Washington Mystics beat the New York Liberty 86-67 on Thursday night.
Natasha Cloud had 10 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds in the first double-double of her career. LaToya Sanders added 14 points and Kristi Toliver scored 11 for the Mystics (11-6).
Stewart, Loyd help Storm beat Liberty 77-62
NEW YORK (AP) — Breanna Stewart and Jewell Loyd scored 21 points apiece to help the Seattle Storm beat the New York Liberty 77-62 on Tuesday night.
Stewart made 9 of 12 from the field, grabbed eight rebounds and had three steals. Natasha Howard added 13 points and Sue Bird had 11 assists for Seattle. The Storm (13-5) moved into a tie with Phoenix atop the WNBA standings.

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Tina Charles had 18 points and 18 rebounds to help New York clinch the third seed in the playoffs with an 82-81 win over the Dallas Wings on Sunday and extend the Liberty's winning streak to 10 games.
The Liberty (22-12) matched the franchise record for longest winning streak and have a first-round bye. The seventh-seeded Wings (16-18) play at No. 6 Washington in a one-game playoff on Wednesday.

Charles and Prince lead Liberty to 74-66 win over Mystics
NEW YORK (AP) — With the game on the line, TIna Charles and the New York Liberty turned up their defensive pressure and pulled away from the Washington Mystics.
Charles and Epiphanny Prince each scored 20 points and the Liberty held the Mystics to just two points in the first nine minutes of the fourth quarter to beat Washington 74-66 on Friday night.
"We take pride in our defense," Charles said. "Being aggressive and doing what we do out there."
Liberty ease by Fever 71-50 for 6th straight win
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Sugar Rodgers scored all 16 of her points in the first half and the New York Liberty beat the Indiana Fever 71-50 on Wednesday night for their sixth straight victory.
Rodgers only attempted one shot in the second half and played just 20 minutes.
Tina Charles added 13 points and nine rebounds for New York (18-12). Bria Hartley had 12 points, and Epiphanny Prince 11.
Liberty beat Lynx 70-61 to clinch spot in WNBA playoffs
NEW YORK (AP) — Tina Charles scored 19 points and Epiphanny Prince added 15 to help New York Liberty beat top-ranked Minnesota Lynx 70-61 on Sunday, clinching a WNBA playoff berth.
The Liberty have won five straight games, including beating the top three teams in the league the past three contests, and are second behind Connecticut in the Eastern Conference.
The Washington Mystics also secured a playoff spot with a 87-82 win in Indianapolis, joining the Liberty with 17 wins and 12 losses.
Liberty use fourth quarter burst to beat Lynx 70-61
NEW YORK (AP) — Liberty coach Bill Laimbeer said all season that come August he'll know a lot more about his team.
Right now, New York is one of the best teams in the WNBA, winning five straight, including victories over the top three teams in the league.
"We said all along that we'd have a better idea of who we are this month," Laimbeer said before his team beat the Minnesota Lynx 70-61 on Sunday. "Everyone is accepting their roles."

NEW YORK (AP) — Tina Charles scored 21 points and the New York Liberty used their biggest run of the season to defeat the Los Angeles Sparks 83-69 on Sunday for their third-straight win.
Shavonte Zellous added 19 points and Epiphanny Prince 18 for the Liberty (15-12), who used a 20-0 run in the second quarter to lead 44-35 at the half.
Prince comes up big in closing seconds, Liberty top Dream
ATLANTA (AP) — Shavonte Zellous had 20 points, Epiphanny Prince scored all four of her points in the final 30 seconds, and the New York Liberty held off the Atlanta Dream 83-77 on Friday night.
New York led by double figures for much of the game but Atlanta used a 9-0 fourth-quarter run to pull to 71-65 with 4:44 left.
Charles scores 26 as Liberty top Fever 81-76
NEW YORK (AP) — Tina Charles scored 26 points and the New York Liberty overcame Erica Wheeler's 33 points for an 81-76 victory over the Indiana Fever on Tuesday night.
Wheeler made two of her seven 3-pointers in the final 20 seconds. Charles answered the first with two free throws for a 79-73 lead, and Epiphanny Prince made two more with 13 seconds left to seal the win.
Shavonte Zellous added 16 points for New York (13-12), including 10 of the Liberty's 27 made free throws.
Stars close on 22-4 run to beat Liberty 93-81
SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Kayla McBride scored a career-high 31 points and the San Antonio Stars closed on a 22-4 run to beat the New York Liberty 93-81 on Tuesday night.
San Antonio trailed 77-71 with 6:48 left but the Stars held New York scoreless for the final 3:25. McBride scored seven points during the run and Kelsey Plum added five.
Kayla Alexander made her first start of the season and scored a career-high 19 points for San Antonio (4-21). McBride was 9 of 22 from the field with five 3-pointers.
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Tina Charles scored 25 points, Sugar Rodgers made two free throws with 11.2 seconds left and the New York Liberty beat the Indiana Fever 85-84 on Friday night.
Charles drew a double team in the paint and found Bria Hartley for an open 3-pointer with 1:19 left to give New York an 83-82 lead. After empty possessions at both ends, Indiana's Erica Wheeler had a layup blocked out of bounds by Kiah Stokes and Candice Dupree missed a baseline jumper.

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Maya Moore scored a season-high 27 points, Lindsay Whalen made a go-ahead baseline jumper with 47.7 seconds left and the Minnesota Lynx beat the New York Liberty 76-75 on Tuesday night.
SEATTLE (AP) — Tina Charles had 12 rebounds to become the franchise leader and scored 29 points in the New York Liberty's 79-70 victory over the Seattle Storm on Thursday night.
Charles has 1,062 rebounds with New York. She broke the franchise mark of 1,053 set by Vicki Johnson.
Charles blocked Breanna Stewart's layup and hit a bank shot at the other end to extend New York's lead to 58-52. The Liberty added two free throws at the end of the third quarter for an eight-point lead.

Zellous picked up the scoring in their absence. She had just 22 points total in the team's first five games. She surpassed that mark early in the fourth quarter.

Liberty set to lose Prince for a few weeks
NEW YORK (AP) — The New York Liberty's thin backcourt is about to get even more sparse.
The Liberty are already missing Brittany Boyd for the season after she injured her left Achilles tendon in a game. They will be even more depleted after Tuesday night's game against Los Angeles when Epiphanny Prince heads for Russia to play in the EuroBasket tournament for the next few weeks. That leaves Bria Hartley as the only true point guard left.
PHOENIX (AP) — Epiphanny Prince hit a go-ahead jumper with 4.5 seconds left and the New York Liberty held off the Phoenix Mercury 69-67 on Tuesday night.
Prince dribbled down the clock and used two high screens to sink the jumper from the wing. After a timeout, Leilani Mitchell drove to the basket but her shot was blocked by Sugar Rodgers.

WNBA training camps set to open
NEW YORK (AP) — It doesn't seem that long ago that the Los Angeles Sparks were celebrating their first WNBA championship in 14 years after a thrilling Game 5 victory over the Minnesota Lynx.
The WNBA is set to begin its 21st season next month with training camps opening up around the league on Sunday and Monday.

Busy day in WNBA free agency with Toliver going to Mystics
NEW YORK (AP) — Washington got another shooter while New York re-signed two guards on a busy day in WNBA free agency.
The Mystics signed free agent Kristi Toliver on Tuesday to cap a busy week for Washington after the team traded for Elena Delle Donne on Thursday and sent Kia Vaughn and Bria Hartley to New York.
