WASHINGTON (AP) — Matt Kemp had a pinch-hit, two-run double in the ninth inning, and the Los Angeles Dodgers survived a sterling performance by Max Scherzer to beat the Washington Nationals 5-4 on Saturday night and sweep a day-night doubleheader.

Scherzer struck out 13 in seven innings, and Washington led 4-3 entering the ninth. But closer Sean Doolittle (1-2) allowed singles to Austin Barnes and Logan Forsythe, and Kemp then hit a line drive to the wall in left field to score them both.

NEW YORK (AP) — Aaron Judge hit a tying home run in the sixth inning and Aaron Hicks and Gary Sanchez went deep in the eighth as the New York Yankees rallied to beat the Mets 4-2 Monday night in the first of four Subway Series matchups this week.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The ailing New York Mets lost a third member of their rotation when right-hander Zack Wheeler was put on the 10-day disabled list Wednesday because of biceps tendinitis.

Wheeler joined starters Noah Syndergaard and Matt Harvey on the DL. Closer Jeurys Familia, shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera, second baseman Neil Walker, outfielder Juan Lagares and third baseman David Wright are among other Mets now sidelined.
