NEW YORK (AP) — Vancouver Canucks defenseman Erik Gudbranson has been suspended for one game without pay for his hit from behind on Boston Bruins forward Frank Vatrano.
Gudbranson hit Vatrano from behind at 6:13 of the first period of Vancouver's game at Boston on Thursday night.
The Canucks blue-liner also received a game misconduct and a fighting major after being challenged by Boston's Tim Schaller following the hit.
