ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Erik Gustafsson felt he was passing too much and not unleashing his big shot from the point.
Chicago is glad Gustafsson let loose on Saturday night.
Gustafsson scored his second goal of the game 1:19 into overtime to give the Blackhawks a 4-3 win over the Minnesota Wild.
"I think I had an option before I shot the puck and I pass it a little too much, but it was great to see it go in there," Gustafsson said.
Kane gets hat trick to lift Blackhawks over Wild 5-2
CHICAGO (AP) — Patrick Kane is heating up, and so are the Chicago Blackhawks.
Kane had a hat trick, Brandon Saad scored twice and Chicago beat the Minnesota Wild 5-2 on Thursday night for its fourth victory in five games.
Kane completed his fifth career regular-season hat trick and first since March 2017 by scoring into an empty net with 26.9 seconds left. He leads the Blackhawks with 20 goals and 47 points, and has five goals and five assists during a six-game point streak.

CHICAGO (AP) — Cam Ward gave the Chicago Blackhawks exactly what they needed in the wake of another concussion for Corey Crawford.
He went back to work.
Ward made 30 saves Tuesday night, leading the Blackhawks to a 2-1 victory over the Nashville Predators.
"I thought our guys competed, worked hard all 60 minutes," Ward said. "Defensively, we didn't give them a whole lot. It's a credit to the guys for the way that they played. We kept it much more simple and executed."

CHICAGO (AP) — Mark Scheifele and the Winnipeg Jets just keep rolling along.
Another long night was no big deal.
Scheifele scored twice, including 50 seconds into overtime, and the Jets beat the Chicago Blackhawks 4-3 on Friday for their fourth consecutive victory.
"Tonight wasn't the prettiest of wins, but we're definitely happy to get it done," Scheifele said.

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Ondrej Kase scored four minutes into the third period to lift the Anaheim Ducks over the Chicago Blackhawks 4-2 on Wednesday night for their fifth straight win.
Anaheim matched Toronto for the longest active winning streak in the league. Brandon Montour and Daniel Sprong, who was making his Ducks debut, scored 20 seconds apart in the first period, and Jakob Silfverberg added an empty-net goal. John Gibson made 25 saves.

He rebounded to deliver a winning finish.
Gustafsson scored 2:32 into overtime as the Chicago rallied for a 5-4 victory over the Florida Panthers.
Gustafsson wristed in his third goal of the season to beat Florida goalie James Reimer, snapping Chicago's two-game overall losing streak and eight-game road skid.

DeBrincat scored his second goal of the game and sixth this season with nine seconds left in overtime to lift Chicago to a 4-3 victory over the St. Louis Blues on Saturday night.
CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago Blackhawks have agreed to a one-year deal with defenseman Erik Gustafsson.
The 25-year-old Gustafsson made his NHL debut in 2015 and collected 14 assists in 41 games with the Blackhawks. He also had an assist in five playoff appearances that season.
