Presbyterian rolls past Trinity Baptist 87-44
CLINTON, S.C. (AP) — Chris Martin scored 10 points and grabbed 12 rebounds and Presbyterian had little trouble with Trinity Baptist in an 87-44 victory on Saturday.
Adam Flagler led Presbyterian (6-5) with 13 points and Ethan Kay added 11 points.
The Blue Hose (6-5) had a 54-28 rebounding margin and 21 points off turnovers. Relying on jump-shooting, Presbyterian made 17 3-pointers but scored just 16 points in the paint.
Presbyterian scores 100-plus for 2nd straight game
CLINTON, S.C. (AP) — Adam Flagler scored 14 points and fellow freshman Kody Shubert added 12 points, helping Presbyterian beat Boyce 102-49 on Thursday.
Presbyterian has topped 100 points in back-to-back games — against members of the National Christian College Athletic Association. The Blue Hose scored 109 points in a 52-point victory on Monday against Welch.
Cooks has 30th career double-double, Winthrop wins 81-68
CLINTON, S.C. (AP) — Xavier Cooks scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, Josh Ferguson added 17 points and eight boards, and Winthrop beat Presbyterian 81-68 on Sunday.
Bjorn Broman made four 3-pointers and scored 13 points, and Anders Broman added 11 points for Winthrop (11-8, 5-3 Big South), which has won four straight. It was Cooks' 30th career double-double.
UNC Asheville tops Presbyterian 76-56 behind Thomas
CLINTON, S.C. (AP) — Ahmad Thomas scored 21 points, Macio Teaque added 16, and UNC Asheville used a hot first half to beat Presbyterian 76-56 on Friday night.
Raekwon Miller scored 13 points with four assists for the Bulldogs (10-8, 3-2 Big South Conference), who shot 63.3 percent from the floor in the first half and finished shooting 55.4 percent.
Dillard scores 34 points, Presbyterian tops Piedmont 77-60.
CLINTON, S.C. (AP) — Reggie Dillard hit 6 of 9 3-pointers and scored 34 points, both career highs, leading Presbyterian to a 77-60 win over D-III Piedmont on Thursday.
Dillard made all five of his 3s and had 19 points in the first half when the Blue Hose (7-6) opened a 45-33 lead. He finished with nine rebounds, four assists and was 6 of 7 from the foul line. Francois Lewis added 13 points and Davon Bell 10.
Younger, Kay lead Presbyterian over Toccoa Falls 104-35
CLINTON, S.C. (AP) — J.C. Younger poured in a career-high 28 points and reserve Ethan Kay scored a career-best 27 on 9-of-14 shooting from 3-point range to lead Presbyterian to a 104-35 victory over Division II member Toccoa Falls on Thursday night.
Dillard, Lewis combine for 49, Presbyterian tops SC State
CLINTON, S.C. (AP) — Reggie Dillard and Francois Lewis combined for 49 points to lead Presbyterian to its fourth straight victory, an 88-77 win over South Carolina State on Tuesday night.
Dillard and Lewis both had career highs with Dillard scoring 26 points and Lewis adding 23 while grabbing seven rebounds. JC Younger had 12 points and Davon Bell added 10 with four assists and two steals.
Younger jumper lifts Presbyterian past UNC Greensboro, 74-72
CLINTON, S.C. (AP) — JC Younger hit a jumper with a second left in the game to cap a furious comeback and lift Presbyterian to a 74-72 win over UNC Greensboro Tuesday night.
Kyrin Galloway hit a 3-pointer with 1:19 left to give UNC Greensboro a five-point lead, 72-67. The Blue Hose responded with a layup by Davon Bell and Ethan Kay's trey with :41 left tied the game at 72-72.
Kay’s 3 gives Presbyterian 75-73 win over Chicago State
BALTIMORE (AP) — Ethan Kay's sixth 3-pointer, with 28 seconds left, gave Presbyterian College a 75-73 win over Chicago State on Friday after the Panthers missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer.
After Kay, who was 6 of 11 from distance for 18 points, scored for the 11th lead change that put the Blue Hose up 74-73, Chicago State missed a 3. J.C. Younger made 1 of 2 free throws, giving the Panthers a final shot but Travon Bell missed a potential winner.
