Tuesday night’s game offered the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins a chance to test themselves against the league’s top overall team in the Toronto Marlies.
While they only came away with one point, the Penguins showed they were definitely up for the challenge.
Josh Jooris’ first goal with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins turned out to be a big one.
The veteran forward scored with only 40 seconds remaining, helping the Penguins get to overtime on Sunday against the Milwaukee Admirals. However, Anthony Richard’s shootout goal ultimately gave the latter a 3-2 win at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena.
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton fell to 33-17-4-2 despite outshooting Milwaukee, 40-23, in its final game of a three-in-three weekend.
