SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — The Florida Panthers didn't lose their composure after giving up the lead late in the game.
Mike Matheson scored 4:14 into overtime to lift the Panthers over the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-2 on Thursday night.
Matheson tipped in a pass from Jonathan Huberdeau from the slot, saving Florida after the Panthers let in the tying goal midway through the third period. That came two nights after allowing three third-period goals in a 3-2 loss to the Blues.

SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — The Florida Panthers are glad to have Roberto Luongo back in goal.
Luongo, who returned to the lineup after missing five games with a knee injury, earned his 77th career shutout and the Panthers beat the Boston Bruins 5-0 on Tuesday night.
Luongo made 33 saves and passed Ed Belfour and Tony Esposito for sole possession of ninth place on the NHL's shutout list.

Jimmy Howard stopped a season-high 44 shots and Gustav Nyquist scored the tying goal in the second period then got the winner in a shootout, lifting the Red Wings over the Florida Panthers 3-2 on Saturday night to snap a six-game skid.
"It's no secret we've been needing one for a while, it was nice to get one tonight and get the win," Nyquist said.
