Roma loses 2-1 at in-form Atalanta ahead of Milan derby
MILAN (AP) — Roma failed to keep the pressure on Serie A leader Juventus as it lost 2-1 at in-form Atalanta on Sunday.
Juventus, which beat Pescara 3-0 on Saturday, remained seven points clear of Roma although AC Milan can cut the gap to five if it beats Inter Milan in the Derby della Madonnina later.
Atalanta is just a point behind Roma, and level with Milan and Lazio.
Joe Hart has an Italian debut to forget with Torino
ROME (AP) — Joe Hart's Torino debut was a day to forget for the England goalkeeper.
Hart gifted Atalanta the equalizer and failed to stop a penalty in a 2-1 loss Sunday.
The troubles began when Hart misjudged a corner, leapt late and only got a weak glove on the ball, which turned into an assist for Andrea Masiello waiting at the far post. With Hart sprawled out on the pitch, Masiello turned the ball into an empty net.
"He could have done better," Torino coach Sinisa Mihajlovic said.
